台風が大分離れたところを
通ったのか、雨風とも
なんともなく、今日は暑い日に
なった。市内各地で運動会が
行われた。

そろそろ仕込みのスケジュール調整で
ワイナリーの方々と相談。
去年仕込んだ赤もそろそろ1年になる。
今年の赤を樽に入れる前に
瓶詰めとなる。
今日は試験的に赤の
ブレンディング。
結構いい感じ。

The typhoon No.13 passed far from here
so that we did not have much
rain or wind. It turned to be a hot
day today and the school athletic meetings
were held eleswhere in the city.

I had a meeing about the vintage
of this year with the winery people.
My red wines are almost one year old
in the barrel. They are to be bottled
before the wine this year are put into
them.

I had trial blending of my reds for the
first time. It isn't bad at all.

あちらこちらから
台風の影響はどうですか、
葡萄は大丈夫ですか、
というご心配を頂きました。

今のところ大丈夫です。
皆さんご心配ありがとうございます。
雨はお昼前からシトシトと
降り始めて今も外は少し
降っていますが、土砂降りからは
程遠いし風はほとんど無いです。

明日は雨も上がりそうで、
私もまた葡萄収穫です。

この時期長野県内各地では
小中学校で運動会が
行われます。明日の天気が
心配されましたが、
この様子だとやれそうです。

I was asked by many friends if
I have had any damage by typhoon.

I am all right and my vines are not
damaged, either. Thank you for your
worrying me.

So far there is no damage. It started
raining before noon and it is still
raining outside but it is not like a shower
and it is not windy at all.

I will clear up tomorrow, probably.
I will continue to harvest my
grapes.

This time of the year there are
athletic recreation held at many
primary and junior high school
in Nagano prefecture. Bad weather was
expected by many weather forecast but
it should be all right if the typhoon
No.13 would continue to head east.

今日からセミヨンの収穫を始めた。
雨かと思ったが終日天気はもった。
約3分の1ほどの収穫だったが
約150キロほど。

雨のせいで大分傷んでしまった
房が多いが今年はそれも仕方ない。
お手伝いの若者に頼んで、
傷んでいる部分は切り落としてもらう。

来週の土曜日にはソービニオン・ブランを
収穫する予定。

一方巨峰の出荷は続いていて、
発送はしているのだが、
葡萄の出来が遅れていて、
なかなか思ったような
葡萄が取れないのが悩みだ。

I started the harvest of Semillon today.
Rain was expected due to the typhoon but
we had no rain whole day. Thanks to the
weather I got around 150kg from the third
of the Semillon vineyard.

The buches are damaged by the rain and some
are rotten. I asked young vineyard hands to
remove all the damaged part.

I may be able to pick Sauvignon Blanc
next Saturday.

On the other hand, the shipping of
Kyoho grape is still on. However, late ripening
of the grape is troublesome. In any case,
it continues till the end of October.

今朝畑に出る際に
厚手のものを着ようか
等と迷っても、昼間は
30度近くになった。

夕刻、秋の明覚山を
撮ったが、山の色は
まだ濃い緑色だ。
どこかで焚く生木の
煙がたなびく。

日は大分短く
なり、こおろぎが
目立つようにはなった。
ただ、まだ物寂しい
秋風は吹いては
いない。

夏の名残りがつづいている
ような。

I wondered if I should ware warmer
clothing this morning when I was about
to leave for Kyoho vineyards. However,
it shot up to almost 30C degree in mid day.

I took a picture of Myokaku-san
Mountain this evening. However, it is still
in dark green colour. Smoke from the buring
of raw branches drifted low in the sky.

The day time became shorter and autumn
grasshopper are sighted so often. But the
melancholic autumn breeze has not come
around yet.

It seems that last days of summer have
been still lasting here.

13日　早坂さんの人形展の
レセプション。東京方面から
20人近い人が訪れ、須坂温泉や
市内のホテルに宿泊。
ちょっとした
アート・ツーリズムでした。
絞りたてのオリーブ・オイルが
とても美味しいと大好評。

14日　JAの葡萄まつり。
何十種類もの葡萄が展示
販売された。ナガノ・パープル
やシャイン・マスカットも。
ナガノ・パープルの歌を
歌うとしちゃんと
詰め掛けた観衆。
すごい人気！？

15日　普段の日に戻る。
私も葡萄の出荷再開。
葡萄畑には雉の親子が
そこここに。

September 13.
Reception of Dolls exhibition by
Ms. Kieko Hayasha was held. Around 20
people visited the museumn and the
exhibition from Tokyo area.
It can be called as an Art Tourism.
Freshly squeezed olive oil was very
tasty.

September 14.
Grape Festival by JA was held.
Tens of kind of grapes were exhibited
and sold including the new grapes, Nagano
Purple and Shine Muscat.
Toshi-chan who sings Nogano Purple Song
sang the song. So many fans gothered at the
foot of the stage !? He is so popular!

September 15.
Came back an ordinary day.
I harvested Kyoho grape, too.
I saw phesant family in the
vineyards.
