知人の庭にあるのですが、
欲しい方あればお譲りする

締切が過ぎたのに
まだ年賀状にも手をつけてない。
昨日のある「山」に向けて
資料を作っていたのだ。
また、今日からあちこち
飛び回る用事がしばらく続く。

とはいえ、今夜は掘江眞知子さん
のコンサートに行った。ゲストは
レーマン　ユウコさん、ピアノは
金益研二さん。女性お二人は
劇団四季のかつてのメンバー。
本物とはやはり聞くものの
心を打つ。歌声が、歌詞が
素直に身体に入ってくる。
感動の一夜。

出演者の皆さんはもとより、
わざわざこのような機会を
造るためにご尽力いただいた方々
に感謝。

I have not started writing
new year's greenting card yet
of which posting date has been
already over. I has been very busy
preparing certain documents
for an important event yesterday.
Another issues will be due for
a while again.

Even I say so, I was one of the
audiences tonight at the concert
of Ms. Machiko Horie, a professional
vocalist, with a guest volcalist
Yuko Layman and the pianoist
Kenji Kanemasu. The performance
by highly trained professionals
moved the audiences. The music
and the rylics came very straight
into the heart. It was a fantastic
perfomance really moved me.

I have to thank the performers as
well as the people who had invited
them, arranged and prepared
the concert tonight.

昨日に引き続き友人の
手を借りて、漸く今日
防寒帯を巻き終えた。
やれやら、ありがとうございました。

樹の根元を巻くのに雪を
どけるのだが、そうすると
蜘蛛がいたりする。
たまに枝から下りてきたり
するのもみる。
こんな冬でも活動して
いるのか、それとも雪の下や
樹皮の下に休んでいたのを
起こしてしまったのか。
そうであれば申し訳ない。

そういえば、樹皮の下に
もぞもぞとうごめく多くの
虫を見つけたな。
樹幹を食い荒らす奴で
なければいいのだが、

Following yesterday, I asked
for a help to a friend and finished
put cold protection all the vines
of Pinot Noir and some Sauvignon Blanc.
Thank you very much for your great help.

I found spiders some time when
I removed snow in order to round the
cold protection at the bottom part
of the trunk. Some time I found
them coming down from the branch.
I wonder if they are walking around to
cath prays even in such coldness.
Or if I just made them waken up while
they were in kind of cibernation.
I feel sorry if I did so.

In addition to the spiders, I found
many small insects under the bark.
I wish they were not the ones to eat
the trunk during the growing season.

大事な書類を作っていたのと
しばらく雪が続いたので畑から
また遠ざかってしまった。昨日今日と
いい天気なのに。

逡巡していたら、「いい天気なのに先日の
続きはいいのか、手伝えるぞ」、と
友人のありがたい言葉。好意に
甘えて午後雪の畑で作業を進めた。
大分はかどった。感謝感謝。
あと少しで終わりそうだ。

(きっと騒がしかっただろうね）
今朝のシャルドネの畑は雪の
上に鳥と思われる無数の足跡が
ある。が、標高の高いピノの畑には
ほとんど見当たらない。
ピノの畑はよっぽど寒かったのか。
そういえば、先日までうるさいくらい
だった鳶の鳴き声も今日は聞こえなかった。

Because of making important documents
and due to the snowfall, I was away from
the vineyard again. It was so nice weather
yesterday and today that peopke were spotted
in the orchards.

While wondering if I should be in the
vineyard or not, a friend of mine offered
to help me continue the operation that
had been suspended since last week.
I was so grateful and accepted his kind offer.
He and his wife helped me a lot in the
snow covered vineyard. We are very close
to the finish now.

I found many foot prints in chardonnay
vineyard this morning but there was almost
none at Pinot vineyard at higher altitude.
It must have been very cold there.
My frined even noticed that the kites
which had been very noisy last week
were not seen at all today.

冬の朝はどこまでも澄み切って
遠くの山々の輪郭もくっきりと
見える。　畑も葉を落とした
冬の枝が寒そうに寒風に
さらされている。　今は
死んだように見える畑も
来年の夏には溢れかえる
生命力でむせ返るのだ。

今はしばし休息の時。

The air is clear and the mountains
in the far distance can be seen
very cleary in the chilly winter
morning. The vineyards and the
orchards lost their leaves and have
no protection agains winter cold
wind.

However, these dead like farms will
be very busy with full of buzz
and lives in next summer.

Now, it's time for rest for a while.
