秋としてはちょっと暖かい日。
遠くの景色ははっきりしないが、
足元の風景はくっきりと見える。

昨夜から今日にかけて地元の秋祭りだった。
なんでこんな忙しい時期に秋祭りなんだろう。
昔は、きっと端境期だったのだろうな。

It was a warm day for autumn today. The scenery far
was not clear but instead it looked very clear near.

It was an autumnal festival in our local community
yesterday and today. I wonder why we should have one
at the busiest moment. It should not have been such
a busy time long time ago when the festival had bagun.

ようやく田んぼの稲刈りプラスはさかけ。
なんとかここまできた。どういうお米に
なっているのかな。
チェーン除草＋はさかけ米。
今月中にには食べられそう。

山の達人から頂いた季節のもの。大感謝。
早速シンプルな松茸ご飯にしました。
食べすぎの秋。

I have all the way come to harvest the rice and
put them on the drying bar. Many were heard about
this year`s rice. I wonder if it tastes good or not.
I can try them within the month.

These are the mushrooms I was give by a master
of local mountains. I cooked simply matsutake rice
with them. I cannot help but eating too much.
Autumn is the time to put on weight.

やはり収穫には少々早いようだ。
昨日から今日にかけての糖度とｐHは、
昨年では9月24日頃のものとほぼ同じ。
それで収穫開始は10月10日だった。

そういえば去年はお盆以降ずっといい天気
が続いていた。今年はずっと猛暑が続いて
夜温も下がらずにエネルギーの蓄積が
遅れている様だ。さらにここ数日の
雨続きも影響しているのだろう。
残念ではあるけれど、
3日の収穫会は中止とせざるを得ない。
参加を予定していた方々申し訳ありません。

予想に反してといえば、稲刈りも予定より
大分遅れてしまっている。周囲の田んぼは
こんな感じではさかけされている。

Grape picking seems a bit early as expected yesterday.
The sugar level and the acidity by pH are almost same as
those of September 24 last year. Then the first harvest
last year was on October 10. We had very fine days
almost everyday since mid August last year but this year
we had very hot days until recently. The night temperature
was not low enough for the vines to keep energy but disburse
it for night respiration. Recent frequent rain may have certain
impact on the grape condition these days.

It is a pity but I should put off the harvesting for a week.
I am sorry for the people who planned to join the picking
scheduled on October 3.

Speaking of the delay, rice harvest is delayed, too. The rice paddies
around ours are already in the process of rice drying by sun like
this picture.

今日のピノ。採りごろに見えるが、糖度を測ると
まだちょっと早い。今年はワイン葡萄の成熟度は
若干遅れ気味のようだ。

今週末予定していた収穫会は、延期になるかも
知れない。

Pinot Noir of today. The bunch looks in good condition
and it made me hope to pick at the weekend. But
the sugar level is not enough. I have to wait a bit longer.
Due to the funny weather this summer, the sufficient
ripeness has not been attained yet.

I am afraid that the grape picking event at the weekend
might be cancelled.

いつもはお彼岸に満開の彼岸花が
今年はつい最近満開になった。
急に涼しくなったとはいえ、植物はそうそう
服を着替えるようには対応できないのだ。
暑い夏が、つい最近まで続いていたのだから。

こんなところを通りながら毎日葡萄の収穫をしている。
変な気候のおかげで葡萄のできはいまいち。
ワイン葡萄にもそろそろ病気が出てきている。
早く取りたいが、もう少し糖度も欲しいし。

そうそう、ナガノパープル売り切れました。

The spider lilies have been in full bloom since
a few days ago while they were supposed to be
flowering on the Equinox day. The air has changed
to the one in autumn but the plants cannot follow it
so quickly like the human beings change clothes even
though the it gets cold suddenly. The summer heat
continued until very recently.

I am harvesting Kyoho table grapes every day
walking through the orchard like this. The grape
condition is not so good due to the funny weather
this year. I spotted disease occurring among the wine
grapes. It seems that they got infected during summer.
I want to harvest them before they become too bad but
I want higher sugar level…

Oh by the way, my Nagano Purple grapes have been
sold out.
