その演奏がそっくりだとかで、後からついた
名前のようだ。ドイツ、オーストリー、スイス等
の超ローカル楽器がオリジンらしい。

たまたま知り合ったご夫妻が、たった一人の
聴衆ためにチターとともに演奏して下さった。

ちょっと甲高い感じのする、乾いたそれでいて
生きのいい不思議な音色。

This instrument is called Hackbrett or cutting board.
Once you see the people playing this instrument, it is like
a butcher cutting meat into mince that is why it is called
cutting board. It seemed originated from local communities
in Germany, Austria and/or Switzerland.

A couple whom I met by chance played both Hackbrett
and the Zither, which is well known by the movie The Third
Man, for me, a single audience.

It has high note, dry but lively sound once the strings
are hit by the wooden sticks covered with felt.

写真もピンボケですが、今年のりんごは
色つきが遅いというか、色がよくない様です。
そういう話をよく聞きます。また、夏の暑さや
ゲリラ豪雨のせいか、見栄えのよいりんごが
少ないようです。

私が友人から頂いたシナノゴールドは
よく色ものって美味しかったのですが。
収穫会に参加された方は召し上がって
頂いたあのりんごです。

11月に入っていよいよふじの出番です。
今年も家庭用のふじで美味しいところを
ご案内できればいいのですが。

29日の夕焼けです。信濃毎日新聞にも
写真が載ったり、いろんな人がブログや
ツイッターで紹介してました。

The photo is not clear in focusing and the
apples do not appear delicious though I hear
that the apples do not attain enough color yet
due probably to the summer heat and/or
the showers like tropical ones.

The new yellow apples called Shinano Gold
I got from one of my friends had good color
and were delicious. The people joined our
grape harvest tasted in the vineyards. They
tasted very good, didn’t they?

In November, Fuji apples will be in the market and
I hope to introduce lower grade but delicious Fujis this
year again.

This is a picturesque sunset seen on October 29 just
before the typhoon approaching. Such a beautiful and
rare phenomenon was introduce in the local newspaper
and shown by many local bloggers and in twitter.

朝方の雨も10時頃に上がり、その後
再び降ることはなく台風の影響を感じ
ない、そして寒い一日であった。

今日予定のワイン葡萄の収穫会は昨日中止と
した。今朝の雨ではやはり無理であった。葡萄は
友人達を頼んで昨日一日収穫して、700kgほど収穫
できた。

今日はその収穫会に参加予定だったお二人が
横浜からこられたが、田舎の一日を存分に
お楽しみ頂けずに残念でした。

せめて美味しいワインができて
皆さんに楽しんで頂けたらと思います。

The rain in the morning was over at around 10am
and it did not rain again leaving no sigh of typhoon
coming near this region. And it was another cold day
today.

Yesterday morning I decided to cancel the harvest expected today
and it turned out to be right. The rain would have made it a
miserable day for grape picking. With the help of my friends, I
finished grape picking yesterday and harvested around 700kg
of Cabernet Franc yesterday.

I received a couple from Yokohama today who were supposed to join today’s
event. I felt sorry for them for not having enjoyed a good relaxing
rural holiday fully. But I hoped they had enjoyed other way around here.

Once good wine is made with this years’ grape, I would like everyone
to enjoy it with the memory of the harvest this year.

今日は全国的に寒かったようですね。
明日は、長野県北部に雪の予報も出ています。
つい先日まで汗ばむ程の陽気だったのに。
一気に冬に突入かな。こんなに気温が下がると
葡萄も光合成ができないので、早く収穫
してしまったほうがいいな。霜がおりると
葉も落ちてしまうし。

It was cold today throughout Japan.
Snow is expected tomorrow in the northern
part of Nagano Pref. We had warm weather just
last week end. The season may change into winter
all of a sudden. The temperature tomorrow is too
low for the grape leaves to do photosynthesize and
it may be better to harvest grapes. If the we had frost,
the leaves will fall.

It is the season of les feuilles mortes.
