ここ1週間ほどの
初夏の様な陽気のせいで、
春の花が一斉に咲き始めた。
りんごの葉っぱの芽も
膨らんだかと思ったら
いきなり芽吹き始めている。

ほんのちょっと前まで
梅が咲いているだけだったのが、
杏の開花が遅れているな～と
思っていたら、杏、桃、桜
が一時に開花、満開となった。
臥竜公園の桜が散ったあと
満開となる須坂温泉の
桜ももう5分咲き程度に
なっている。

この先何がどうなるのやら。

By the warm weather like early summer
of last one week, almost all the spring
flowers have burst into full bloom.
Young apples leaves have started to
to appear, too shortly after the buds
had got big.

Only prune flowers were in bloom
just one week ago and I felt apricot
flowers were bit delayed. But now
most of the flowers including apricot,
peach, cherry blossoms are in full
bloom. Usually the cherry blossoms at
Suzaka Onsen spa bigin after those
at Garty Koen park finish but today
those at Suzaka Onsen spa are in
50% bloom while those at Garyu Koen
park are in full bloom.

What will happen next ?

ちょっとした同業者のグループ
ではあるが、そのグループの設立から
お世話になった方の送別会が
あった。考え方の違うメンバーでも
その多くが参加してくれたのは
嬉しかった。また立場上事務方を
引き受けてもらている方々も
参加してくれて感謝感謝！

その人がいなくなっても組織は
動く。表面上は何もなかったかの
様に動く。それが組織という物だ。
しかし、と思う。モチベーションを
持ち、やり遂げようとするロコモーティブ
たる存在はやはりその個性による。
そういう個性がなければ新しい事は
できない。その個性を失ったグループ
の存在やいかに。次なるロコモーティブ
たらんとする者がその中からうまれるか
否か。

一方ロコモーティブ足りえる存在は新しい
場所でもマイペースで前進するだろう。
彼にとっては新しい場所が生きる場所なの
だから。

社会とはそういうものなのだが
同じような方向性と時間を,もう
共有できないことが寂しいのだ。

We had a farewell party tonight
for a man whom a group of certain
people had been depend upon. Each
member having different way of thinking
even got together for such an occasion
which was very heart warming.

Without a person, an organization still
goes on as if nothing had happened.
That is the characteristic of an
organization. However, how it goes
or not heavily depend on the personality
of a locomotive person of the gorup.
Somtething can be done only if there
was an personality with strong motivation.
Without such personality, nothing new
can be done. What will happen to the group
without such a locomotive? It would depend
on whether another locomotive would emerge
from the group.

Such a personality can survive and take
steps forward in a new
situation according to his pace as
the new place is where he will live on.

Even though I know that is what the society
has to be but it was a pity that we should not
be able to share the direction and the time
any more.

ここ数年お米は
市内のお米農家の方から
直接買っています。
今回は玄米もお願いしました。
以前五穀米とか十六穀米とか
食べて違和感がなかったので
白米に玄米を混ぜてみようかと。

このお宅は余り農薬を使わない
のでその点でも安心だし。新米
の時期は本当に100％新米ですから。

そうそう、去年大分作付けを増やした
とかでまだ大分お米があるそうです。
須坂産コシヒカリ、白米は
350円/kg, 玄米は250円/kg

I have bought rice from a local
rice farmer directly. I ordered
brown rice this time as mixed rice
with other grains had tasted quite
all right. I will mix white and
brown rice.

I feel comfortable with this
famer as he tries to use chemicals
as little as possible. At the time
of new rice, I can get 100% new rice while
man of new rice sold in the market are
actually mixed of old and ver old rices.

長いこと海外生活をしている
須坂出身の古い友人が
訪ねてきた。
懐かしい場所や人を訪ねた後、
新しい経営になったことでも
あり、ゆっくらんどに入りに行った。
海外には無い雰囲気を楽しんだ様だった。

風呂自体は前と同じだが
喫茶やそば処、お休み所などでき、
雰囲気が変わっていた。
帰りにパンを買ってきた。
今までにはなかった事だ。

受付で浴衣でも貸してくれたら
温泉に入って、食べて、休んで
また温泉に入ってと、
ごろごろできて良いかも。
一度着替えてしまうと
またはいるのが億劫に
なるよね。

暮れ時に帰ってきたら
ほぼ満月が山のうえに
上ってきた。

An old friend who was born in Suzaka and
living abroad for long time visited me
today. After visiting some places
of adolescence and good old people,
I took him to Yukku-Land Spa as it
has just opened after renewal of
management. He seemed to enjoy
a pleasant atmosphere that was not
attainable in foreign country.

The hot spas seem all the same as before
but it has new facilities like coffee shop,
hand made soba shop, restaurant and
relaxing rooms which make new services
available. I bought bread when I left there
which had not happened before.

If I could rent a Yukata, a Japanese
bath robe, I would stay there longer by
enjoying bathing, eating sleeping, and
bathing again, etc. I would be able
to enjoy more relaxing and enjoyable
time. If I put on the clothings after
bating, I would feel I would go back
then.

I came back from the Spa around the sunset
and found the almost full moon rising over
the mountain.

枝付けといっても
ワイン葡萄の場合は
フルーティング・ワイヤ
（コルドン）の周りに種枝を
巻き付けてゆく作業。

一日中良い天気で気温も
18度くらいに上がったようだ。
どうりで昼間は薄着でも汗ばむ
程。ただ、4時を回って夕暮れ
時はかなり寒い。朝も日陰では
氷が張るほどだ。明日も
霜注意報が出ている。そろそろ
桃が芽吹き始めているので
桃農家は気が気ではないだろう。

臥竜公園の桜もまだ開花したとは
聞いていない。これだけ朝夕冷えると
いくら昼間が暖かくても急に
進むことも無いようだ。

さて、明日はドイツから古い友人が
来る予定なんだが。

There are few trainings during
growing season. This time of year
training means wrapping main branch
around the fruiting wire (cordon).

It was warm today whole day and the
temperature went up to 18C degrees
at maximum. No wonder I sweat under
the sun even in light wear. But after
4pm it was cold with north wind.
Early in the morning the water freezes
in the shadow. We have frost warning
tomorrow morning. With the bud bursting
of peaches, the peach growers should be
very anxious about such cold temperature.

I have not heard of the flowering of cherry
trees at the Garyu Koen Park that is famous
for the cherry blossoms. With such low
temperature in the morning and evening,
the flowers would not develop so quickly.

Tomorrow I am suposed to have an old
friend visiting me back from Germany.
