巨峰の畑に行ってみると、笠や袋が
破けて散乱している。鳥かハクビシンか。
昨年はそうでもなかったのが、今年は
既に30から40ほど被害を受けている。
まだ、食べても　おいしくないのにな～。

I found the wrappings and the parasols broken
in Kyoho vineyards. Who did it ? Birds or other small
animals ? I did not get bad damage last year but
I have already 30 to 40 bunches damaged.
The grapes do not taste good enough yet.

お店で漬物やお茶、夏場は梅ジュースなど
を頂く浦野酒舗さんをたずねたら、抑えた音量で
シャルル・アズナブールの炎の恋がかかっていた。
ラジオかと思い聞いてみたら、奥さんが昔好きだった曲
をカセットに入れて流しているものだった。
同じ曲が2曲連続で入っていたりもしている。
驚いたことに、アズナブールだと分かった人が
他にもいたという。う～ん、恐るべし須坂。
そんな人がいるんですね～、こんな雛の町にも。

愛のために死すという、高校教師（女性）とその教え子の
恋の物語の映画の主題歌だった。とても美しい曲で、
アズナブールの曲のなかでも好きな曲の一つ。
偶に、ラ・ボエームを原曲で歌えるようにちょっと
練習したりすることもある。

When I visited Urano-san, a local bottle shop here,
I noticed a song being played at low volume which I
thought on the radio. But it was actually a music tape
made by the master’s wife. The song is called Mourir
d’aimer or Die for love by Charles Aznavour. Same song
was played twice consecutively. What was surprising to me
was the fact that somebody else also found the music
was by Aznavour. So there are other people who is
knowledgeable enough about the chansons at one
time.

The song was the theme song of the movie called
Die For Love where a female high school teacher
and her student fell in love. The music was so touching
and beautiful and one of my favorite song among Aznavour.
From time to time, I try to sing his other songs like
La Boheme in French.

長年の知り合いが訪ねて来た。
2度目の須坂訪問。
私の葡萄畑などをご案内したあと、
雷滝に行って七味温泉の露天風呂で
のんびりし、涼しい峰の原で夕食と私のワイン。
翌日は、善光寺(山門に登る）やらワイナリー、近場の町を
散策してから小布施温泉で疲れを取る。
ひと時の田舎での休日はどうでしたか？
私にとっても良い息抜きになりました。

A long time friend visited me for a second time in
Suzaka yesterday. After showing my vineyards, I took them to
Kaminari-daki waterfall and to Shichimi Onsen spa
where we enjoyed open air hot spring. Then we went
to the cooling Minenohara Kogen heights for dinner and
taste my wines. Today, we visited Zenkoji temple and a winery
where we took lunch at the restaurant. Then again we
visited a hot spa in Obuse after strolling the small rural town.
I wonder how they enjoyed the holidays. Thanks to him,
I can also enjoy the holidays doing rural tourism around here.

今日は一日かけて二つほどワイナリーを訪問した。
醸造設備を見せて頂き、オペレーションについて
説明をして頂いた。どちらも通常ワイナリー設備は
オープンにしていないところで、貴重な
体験でした。お忙しい中、ありがとう
ございました。大分イメージが膨らみました。

I visited two wineries today. They showed me the
winemaking equipments and explained about
the operation which they usually do not open
to the public. Thank you very much for your
kind attendance at the busy time. I got
more concrete image of my own winery
thanks to them.

口ごもって「アザブジュバン」としり上がり
に発音するとフランス語会話みたいに聞こえる。
というのは使い古しの笑い話だったような。

8月20日（金）から22日（日）、
例によって麻布十番の納涼祭り
「ふるさと自慢」に出店します。
時間は午後3時から9時まで。
場所は去年の場所を背にやや右側
向かい側です。麻布十番の交差点から
商店街を六本木ヒルズに向かって
二つ目の交差点を過ぎて少し上った
右側の須坂市の小間です。
全国各地の名物が集まりますので
遊びにおいで下さい。
