先日のワイン会で試飲したところ余りにも
良かったので、そう人にも紹介して自分でも
感激していたのだが、今日改めて飲んでみて、
なんということか、まったく閉じてしまっている！
先日は、あの大分高貴なグラスに包まれて気を許して
一瞬香り高くなったのか。

今日はテイスティンググラスでの試飲。
やはりワインはグラスを選ばないと、ということか。
いいグラスで飲みましょうね。
ワインの味がまったく変わります。

The wine tasted so good the other day at the
Wine tasting even. So I recommend it and I
am actually encouraged so much. However,
after tasting it again today, I found the wine
closed and would not emit a piece of the
noble fragrance at all! I wonder if the outstanding
aroma came due to the wine glass or not.

Today, I tried the same wine with the normal tasting glass.
But it tells me that I should use appropriate glass to let
the wine express itself and so that the people can notice it.
The wine tastes really different depending on the shape and
the quality of the glass.

寒い朝が続いている。
週末東京へ行ったり忙しくしていて
気づかなかったのだが、いつの間にか、
といってもこの2,3日のうちだったのだろうが、
すっかり葡萄が落葉している。
これはワイン葡萄の樹だが、気づけば周囲の
巨峰畑もすっかり落葉していて、いよいよ
冬の風情を増した田舎の風景となっている。

畑では、りんごの収穫が寒風と
日一日と早くなった落日に追われる
様に忙しくなっている。

We have colder morning for a few days.
As I was busy and away to Tokyo over the weekend,
I did not notice it but the grape leaves fell down
from the vines completely. It must have been within
last two to three days for sure. Then I found the leaves
in Kyoho vineyards shed all the leaves, too. Our local
scenes have changed to those of winter.

In the orchards, the growers look busier picking apples
as if they were chased by the cold wind and shortened day time.

昨日東京から帰ってからずーっと書類作り
（ワインのね）。
時間はあっと言う間に過ぎてゆく。
夕刻友人に誘われて、地元で活動する
リバティー・ジャズ・オーケストラの
第16回定期演奏会に行く。

外気が嬉しい。
いつも思うことだけれど、音楽を愛する人は
幸いなるかな。

I spent day and night since yesterday to
do documentation of the winery. How fast the
time passed!

I was invited to join the performance of the local
big band jazz, Liberty Jazz Orchestra for its 16th
recital tonight.

The fresh air was refreshing.
I always think that those who loves music
are really happy.

昨日はペニンシュラ東京で「日本ワインのテイスティング」
イベントに出展して来ました。セミヨン/ソーヴィニオン・ブラン2009
とシャルドネ2008にピノ・ノワール2008を出しました。

(ホテル外観。香港のよりは随分こじんまりしてます）

概ね好評というよりは、大好評でした。
「全部試飲したけど、お宅のが一番良かった」とおっしゃってくださった
方が二人。「今日の一番の収穫は、楠ヴィニヤーズを知ったことだ」という
方や、「おかわりしたのは、初めてだ」という方もいました。特に
シャルドネとピノへのお褒めの言葉が多かった様に思いました。
SSBは、やはり好き嫌いがはっきりしていましたが、ノーズにまず
驚いて、パレートで「おいしい」という言葉が多かったです。

私も、グラスが良かったせいかピノ・ノワールの香りがとても華やかに
たっていて、今年一番。思わず感動してしまいました。ピノについては、
酸がきついという人がいたかと思うと、もう少し酸が効いていたほうが
よりピノらしくて良い、という人もいて、改めてスタイルへの好みは
人それぞれだなと思いました。案外私が少し難しいと思っている自分の
ワインも、それがいいという人がいるかも知れないなと思ったり。

I was attending Japanese Wine Tasting event held at
Peninsula Tokyo. I presented my Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc 2009,
Chardonnay 2008 and Pinot Noir 2008.

My wines were much better received than I expected and I was
surprised and so happy. Two guests said my wines were the best among
all. Some said it was nice to find Kusunoki Vineyards. And others said
it was first time to ask for another glass after tasting all. It seemed that
Chardonnay and Pinot Noir received more favorable comments than SSB.
SSB seemed to depend on the individual liking but most people showed
surprising face at the nose followed by the comments that the wine was
tasty.

I found that the high quality glass of the hotel made the aroma more
self expressing and the aroma of Pinot Noir was felt more outstanding
than before which was really surprising to me. Some said that they liked
Pinot Noir with less acidity while others said they prefer Pinot Noir more
acidic. The comparison was very interesting and I thought that individual
preference was really different depending on the people. Then one of my
wines that I find a bit difficult could be liked by somebody.

I thank you very much to the people who read my blog and came to
the event all the way, and to those who gave me very frank impression
on my wines. I was very much encouraged by your attendance and your
comments. I think to myself that I have to make more efforts to
produce much better wines.

先日の事、市内の角田酒店さんが地元の
ワインの看板を自作して出しているのを
発見。　ありがとうございます。
真ん中の「蔵の町ワイン」は角田さんが
栽培したメルローです。2009がそろそろ
出る頃かも。

The other day I found a handmade sign board on the
wall of the Tusunoda Bottle Shop in town.
Thank you very much for your mentioning of my
wines. The Kuranomachi Wine seen in the center of
the board is the Merlot wine of which grapes were grown by
Mr. Tsunoda, the bottle shop owner. His 2009 Merlot will be
released soon.
