タンクと樽が、そして機械が
入りました。　もうじきですね。

I received tanks, barrels, and
machines. The winery is
getting ready for the vintage.

先日こういうワインを頂いてしまった。
こういう幸運なときもあるのだ。

超長熟用に作ってあるワインは、10年を経ても
時として尚人を寄せ付けない時もある。

I had a chance to taste such great wines the other day.
The wines made for long maturation sometimes would not
make themselves so friendly to the wine lovers. We have to
be lucky enough to find them in appropriate condition when
we open them at the time they are considered drinkable.

先週台風のせいで大雨が降った。
あちこちから、葡萄は大丈夫かと心配して頂きました。

ありがとうございます。
葡萄も、畑も大丈夫でした。ただ…。

ワイナリーの周辺というか、はるか遠方に降った雨が
濁流となってワイナリー脇の道を延々と流れくだり、
ワイナリー敷地へ川となって流れ込んでしまいました。

まるで、池に浮かぶワイナリーといった風情。
夏の夕立の時も同様なことが繰り返されたらしく。
とても敷地で飲み込める量ではなく、
何とか手を打たないと。

うって変わってこの連休中は良いお天気でした。
工事もはかがいったはずです。9月30日に建物は
完成しますが、開業はまだ先になりそうです。

We had very heavy rain in Suzaka last week due to the
typhoon passing through the Honshu Iland. I received many
messages worrying about the grape and vines. Thank you very
much for your care, they are fine despite of the rain and the wind.

However, the rain showed clearly one fundamental problem.
The rain in the wide area around the winery formed
a big stream running down the road and came into the winery
land. The winery looked as if it had been on a pond.
The same situation seemed to have happened by the showers
during summer. The winery land cannot absorb such water even
though it stands on the very permeable soil. I have to do something.

We had on the other hand very fine days last three days. The
construction work must have made progress towards the hand over
date due on September 30. The winery open will not be so soon yet.

Thank you very much for your coming to the
Nagano Agri Festival at Azabu Juban.
I was so happy that many people came to us
after having found this event at my blog.

I hope to see you again at the grape harvest
and other Suzaka Green Tourism events.

毎月麻布十番の公園パティオ十番で開催されている
「長野県農林産物祭り」に出展します。
9月16日-17日。須坂市グリーンツーリズム研究会
としての参加ですが、ワインや須坂が大産地の
ナガノパープルや巨峰、それに野菜などを持って行きます。

是非おいで下さい。

I am going to participate in the Nagano Agricultural
Festival on September 16 and 17 held at Azabu Juban
park Patio Juban. I join the event as Suzaka Green
Tourism Group but of course I will bring wines, grapes
especially Nagano Purple and seasonal veges.

Please come and enjoy harvest of Shinshu in Tokyo.
