この冬一番ほどに冷え込んだ朝、
りんご畑の脇を歩くと、ぱさっ、ぱさっ、
と音がする。りんごの葉が霜の降った草の上に
静かに落ちているのだった。
朝日の中で落ちる様は、枝と葉の軸を結んでいた
氷が温まってはらはらと落ちていくようにも
見えて、静かな朝の中で感じた自然の営みの
一瞬であった。

Walking by the apple orchard in the coldest
morning of this winter, I heard very light sound
that something soft falling down on the frost weed.
They were the falling leaves of apple tree.

I wondered if they started falling down after the frost joints
between the branch and leaf stem were warmed up
by the rising sun. It was a quiet and curious moment of
the natural phenomena.

12月3日（土）から6日（火）まで、ふるさとフェアと
題打って、東京都庁の全国観光PRコーナーにて
須坂市の紹介とおやきや農産物の販売が行われます。
今回私は参加できませんが、主催のNPO法人NEXT須坂の
皆さんが私のお米を売って下さいます。

チェーン除草により除草した（といってもやはり草は生えて
きてましたが）、農薬を使わずに育てたコシヒカリです。
慣行栽培では、苗植え前に田んぼに除草剤を入れますが
私の田んぼではそれをやりませんでした。宜しければ
お求め下さい。玄米をという声も多いのですが、玄米
にしたときに混じる米以外のゴミとりに多大な時間が
かかるのと、玄米にするコストが白米より高いので
二の足を踏んでいます。

一度食べてみて下さい。食味としては去年の方が美味しかった
ですが、これは多分気候のせいでしょうね。

Our local agricultural produces will be sold at the
Suzaka Country Fair at Tokyo Metropolitan Government
Office building from December 3 through 6. Famous Oyaki,
Miso, Apples and others are available for sale as well as
the information of Suzaka Tourism.

Unfortunately I will not be participating this time but
my Rice will be sold at the fair.

My rice was grown by chain weeding method instead
of herbicides. In the custom way of growing rice, herbicides
were used in the rice paddy just before rice planting but I
did not do it. If you like such non chemical rice, please try
my rice.

I have been often asked for brown rice but I usually do not
sell brown rice. Because the milling costs more than white
rice and I usually have more materials other than rice (MOR) after
milling and the separation from brown rice from MOR is
requires more time and labour.

Anyhow, please try my rice. Regarding the taste of rice,
I think it was better last year than that of this year due
to the weather condition.

今まで委託醸造して頂いたワインを地下貯蔵庫に
入れたら、大分埋まってしまった。
一部屋2万本くらい入るだろうと踏んでいたのだが
5000本ほどで満杯に近い。

そろそろ、シラーズ、リースリング、シャルドネ
バックビンテージなどをショップに並べようか。

雪が直ぐそこまで降りてきた。

One of the rooms in the underground wine cellar became almost
full. I thought it would accommodate around 20,000 bottles and
I put around only 5,000 bottles yet though.

I have to take out some of the wines to the shop like Shiraz,
Riesling and Chardonnay back vintage, etc.

Snow came down to the mountain in front of the winery.
