今日は蕎麦つくりのメンバーのうち
4人でじゃがいもを約100kg程植えました。

これだけの量のじゃがいもを植えるのは
皆初めてなので（私は小学校以来でした）
初めは手間取ったり、予想外に時間が
かかりましたが、9時から
始めて小休憩を挟んで2時前
に終わりました。　
ちょっとかかりすぎ？

植えたのは、ワセシロ、インカのめざめ、
男爵、デジマ　の4種類です。
「じゃがいもMini白書」と今月北海道に
転勤になってしまったじゃがいも研究家の
三澤さんのアドバイスが頼りです。

今日でなければ参加
したかったという方が何人かいたのですが、
あいにくの少人数でした。
順調に行けば、7月終わりから8月初め
に収穫です。

「いもほり会」でイベントをやろうと話しています。

We planted about 100kg of potatoes today.
Only four of "Buckwheat members" did it.
If not today, we may have more joiners.

We started around 9am and finished about
2pm with short break. It took more time than
expected due to poor preparation and insufficient
experience. This if my first potato planting since
my primary school time!

Four kinds of potatoes were planted including
the "Dawn of Inca" a new potato in Japan. We rely
on "Potato Mini White Book" and the advices by
Mr. Misawa, a potato researcher who left for Hokkaido
this April.

If evrything goes well, we can harvest in July to
early August before we plant buckwheat. We hope to
have a harvest with many joiners. To those who want
to join such event, please be patient for a while.

来る４月２９日（祝日）、市内本郷町の畑で
今年のワイン葡萄の苗植え会を行います。
少雨決行。

時間 午前９時から１２時頃。
その後ランチ（BBQ)。

場所：須坂市本郷町「やすらぎの園」北側。

植える品種：カベルネ・フラン
　　　　　　メルロー
各１００本ほど。計２００本。

参加ご希望の方個別に連絡お願いします。

突然ですが、お知らせです。
4月7日午前9時から市内本郷町の畑で
農家有志で、じゃがいもの植え付けを行います。

飛び入り歓迎。雨天順延です。
費用と利益（あれば）は人数割りとします。

参加ご希望の方あればお知らせ下さい。
7月下旬から8月上旬に収穫となります。

Sudden Notice.
A group of farmers will organize a potato planting
event at 9am April 7 in a small patch of field
of Hongo-cho.

Any one who wants to join will be welcome
and please contact me. The cost and profit if any
will be devided per person basis.
Planting will be postponed if it rains.

We expect harvest in late July to early August.

SSってご存知でしょうか。
エスエスっていいます。
スピードスプレヤー（スプレイヤーなんですが）
のことです。運転席の後ろにタンクがあって
（500リットルから1000リットル）、その後ろの
大きなファンで風を起こして、ノズルから噴出
される薬液を霧状にして散布します。
防除には欠かせない農業用車両です。

風があると薬液が飛んでいってしまうので
風のない早朝に「うつ」のが一般的です。

道路を走っていると、一般車の方はなぜか
農業用車両に対して冷たいです。
やたらクラクションを鳴らされることが
あります。

農業にもっと愛情を！

Do you know what SS is. It's speed sprayer.
A viehcle which has tank of 500-1000litre
size and big fan to spray agricultural
chemicals and substances for pest and diesease
control.

We have to spray very early in the morning when
there is no wind to avoid drifting.

Driving such agricultural veihcles in the roads,
you can find how people are harsh to the farmers.
Other drivers are easy to get irritated to follow such
slow veihcles and honk a horn at us.

Don't be so hurry be happy!

昨日とは打って変わって春の陽気。
同じ場所での写真ですが、昨日の
天気は何だったのだという感じです。

りんごの農薬散布も始まり、
葡萄も今週末が予定されています。
いよいよシーズンの始まり。

剪定は一応終わっていますが、誘引がまだ
なので、あれもやらねば、これもやらねば
と色々と気ぜわしさが一層です。

今年は野菜も作るし、東京の友人からは
今年の苗植え会はいつやるのかと、
ありがたいメールが舞い込みます。

とかいたら、なんだか動き始めた虫の
様に見えました。

今日ン十回目の誕生日でありました！

Spring is back again. It was certainly a
Spring day. Yesterday's snow vaporized as if
it had been a dream.

Spraying on apples has begun and the one for
grape will start this weekend. The growing season
has begun again.

I finished pruning but training takes some more
time. There seem so many things I have to do and
I start feeling as if I was far behind shcedule.
Spring is busy!

This year I will try growing vegetables and young vine
planting is within one month. I got a mail from a friend
in Tokyo asking when the planting event is. Thank you
for you message.

These figures looks like warms start moving even though
they are three springs in Chinese character.

By the way, it is my x0th birthday!
