午後摘心をしよとナガノパープル
を植えてある畑に行った。なんと
ほぼ開花状態。満開に近い。
同じ畑の巨峰も開花しているが
此方のほうがやや遅い。
パープルは巨峰より5日ほど開花
が遅いはずなんだが…。
房切りやらねば。

今朝は5時から薬散。
今日の予定を終えたら
10時であった。
久しぶりの明覚山のショット。
SSと軽トラは私のです。

夕方はピノノワールの
緑枝接木。30本ほどやったら
7時を回ってしまった。
風が強く寒い。

さて、また明日から巨峰の
房切りだ。

I went to the Nagano Purple vineyard for
shoot thinning and found that the flowers
were in bloom, almost full bloom.
In the same vineyard, Kyoho vines were
also in bloom but not so full yet.
Naganp Purple is supposed to be in bloom
after Kyoho grape by about 5days. What is
happening this year ? In any case, I have to
start bunch forming on Nagap Purple.

I sprayed this morning from 5am and
it was about 10 o'clock when I finished
today's schedule. The Myokaku Mountain
was in brilliant green. The sprayer and
the small ute are mines.

I green grafted Pinot Noir this afternoon.
After having grafted about 30 vines, it got
to after 7pm. It was windy and I felt
cold this evening.

Kyoho bunch forming will be continuing
this week again.

房切り前の花穂。
余り良い花穂ではありません。
先端が団子状でしかも曲がって
います。これを房切りすると。

こうなります。

腕を上げっぱなしだと
疲れるので、はしごに乗って
棚の上からやることも
しばしば。棚の上では、
新梢が大海の様に見えます。

これはとび花。
房の中にポツポツと
花帽（キャップ）が飛んで雄しべと
雌しべが出ています。

ある畑への道すがら
車に乗っていても
葡萄の花の香りが
漂って来ています。
いよいよ開花です。

This is the baby bunch before bunch
forming. It is not a good bunch
because there are too my baby berries
at the top of the stem and it is curved.

This is afte bunch forming.

Most of the time, we have to raise
both arms to reach the bunches hunging
from the overhead trellis so it is
very much tiring. Some time we used steps
and do the bunch forming with our arms
below the shoulders. It is easier and
no tiring but you can but the bunch which
are only around you. Above the overhead
trellis, the new shoots with bunches
looks as if it were an endless ocean.

This is the scattered flower. Grapes do
not have flower petal but only stamina and
a bigger pistil. After the cap removes then
stamina and a pistil will appear.

On the way to a Kyoho vineyard, I can smell
the Kyoho grape flower even from a driver's
seat. The flowering time will be starting.

夏号に「信州の逸品」として、
名だたる名ワイナリーのシードル
に並んで取り上げられました！

甘口は残り少なくなりました。
辛口はまだ少し余裕があります。
是非どうぞ。

今日は農協による
ナガノパープルの講習会。
須坂支部（日滝地区のことです）
だけ対象ですが、40名弱が集まり
ました。皆さん熱心です。
写真は見事なH型整枝（右側）、
今年は私も出荷できそうです。

Following yesterday's picture, here is
another shot of different kind of baby
apples with different color and shape.

Speaking of Suzaka apples, I hope
people will remember Cidre of Suzaka
''Ringo Meijin''(Apple Master). It is
introduced in the free magazine issued
by Nagano Prefecture among the famous
wineries' cidres.

The stock of sweet type cidre is running short
but plenty of dry type one are still available.

Today, a local small size study meeting was held
about the Nagano Purple grapes under JA Suzaka branch
which means only Hitaki area growers are included.
Even such a limited local area, there were around
40 enthusiastic grapegrowers gathered.
The phot shows a wonderful H-shaped trained vine
(right). I may be able to ship my own
Nagano Purple grapes this year.

房切りの毎日。
そういえば、こんな葡萄の子供
の姿を見た人は少ないだろうな。
名前も花穂と書いて「カスイ」
と呼ぶことも、農家以外は
余り知られて無いかも。
写真はまたこの次に載せましょう。

さて、この写真は何でしょう。
地元農家の人には鼻で笑われそう
ですが、やはり見慣れない人も
いるでしょうからね。

今は皆さん葡萄畑ですが、
房切りの前後はりんご畑に
人がたくさん出ています。
摘蕾、摘花ときて、
今は摘果が最盛期。
摘果される前のりんごの
幼果です。色が着いていたり、
紡錘形のがあったり、
見慣れない人にはまさしく
見慣れない姿です。

While doing bunch forming of
Kyoho grape, I happened to think
that there were not so many people
who had seen such baby grape bunch.
It is even called Kasui which may
sound strange to non grapegrowers.
I will show the picture later on
this blog.

Now, guess what they are?
It is a common sight for the
loacal farmers but there may be
some who are not familiar with
this kind of fruit.

Everybody is busy in bucn forming
in the vineyards now but before and after
this period, most of the people are
in the apple orchards. There, starting from
buds picking, flower picking and people
are now busy baby apple picking or apple
thinning to adjust the number of
apples on a tree by leaving most appropirate
positioned baby apples.

Yes, they are baby apples. To many apple consumers
in big cities, it should be an uncommong figures of
the apple. Some apples are coloured and some have oval
shapes, too.

巨峰の房切りをやりつつも
午後セミヨンの緑枝接木を
25本ほど。台木は去年畑に
植えてある。結構時間がかかった。

2年目の台木はまだか細いが、
それ以上に穂木も頼りなげだ。
穂木のカット下部分と
接合部分をメデールテープ
（芽出ーるから取ったに違いない）
で固定する。

(穂木はセミヨンの不定芽=sucker　を使った）

去年も2年目の台木に
緑枝接木を試みたが
接合した新梢以外を
残したり、その後の台木の芽かき
が十分でなかったりして
ほとんど成功しなかった。
今年は、少しは上達している
はずなんだが…。

While doing bunch forming of
Kyoho grape, I went for green grafting
of Semillon in the afternoon.
For about 25 vines, it took me
almost four hours.

Two-year old field planted
rootstocks still look fragile and
the scions, too. It required
concentration until finishing
taping of the scion and rootstock.

I tried to greengraft last year but
most of the scions did not survive
as I did not remove lower buds and
other shoots. As I should have improved
much this year, I hope these grafting
will be more successful this time.
