今週寒い日が続いている。
予報では３度などとあったが、
そこまでは下がらなかった様だ。

葡萄は大丈夫ですかと、心配してくださる
メールをいくつか頂いています。
ありがとうございます。

今の所まだ大丈夫そうです。
霜が降りると発芽した新芽や
新梢の小さいのが黒く変色して
枯れてしまいます。そうなると
副芽が出てきますが、房の数は
だいぶ少なくなり収量が落ちます。

霜注意報は
ずっと出ていますが、私の畑では
新芽は地面より１メートルは上にあるので
今のところ被害は見当たりません。
だいぶ寒そうには見えますが…。

It's been cold everyday this week.
The weather forecast said the temperature
could go down about 3C degrees in these days.
But actually it did not go down so low so far.

I received a few messages worrying about the
vines. Thank you very much for your asking.
So far they are fine.

Once the frost came, the breaking buds and
new small shoots would turn it color from
green to black and die. If it happened, secondary
buds would break but they are usually not so
fruitful as primary buds. So the harvest will
decrease.

We have frost warming everyday now but so far
I have not seen any damage in my vineyards yet.
The buds position in my vineyards are above one
meter from the ground level. So I hope my vines
will not suffer from the low temperature.
In any case, they look very cold in the wind.
And me, too!

ワイン東京に行ってきました。
終日の雨でしたが、おいでくださった
お客様の皆様に感謝申し上げます。

今回おすすめだった
セミヨン/ソーヴィニオン・ブラン2009,
シャルドネ2008, ピノ・ノワール2008
は、いずれも概ね評判が良く安心
しました。

価格、リリース時期とも未定の
パッサージュ・ルージュ2008が
予想以上に受けが良かったのも
収穫でした。

後はいずれもリリースを待つことに
なります。

今日いよいよコンピューターを修理に
出しました。これからしばらくは
写真等アップできませんが、ご了承下さい。
早く直って戻ってくればいいのですが。

Thank you very much for your visiting my
booth at Wine Tokyo 2010 yesterday. Despite of the rain
whole day, many people attended the show and
I was very happy to meet and talk with the
guests.

My recommendation of this year namely
Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2009,
Chardonnay 2008, and
Pinot Noir 2008 were well accepted
which was very grateful.

It was to my happy surprise that many
peole liked Passage Rouge 2008.

Now I have to prepare for the release of
these wines which I am looking for.

By the way, I have to announce that
I sent out my computer for repair today
so I may not be able to upload pictures
for a while because I use a different
computer on ad hoc basis. Please accept
my appolgies for the inconvennience caused.
I hope it will be repaired and returned
to me soon.

連休も終わり、また真夏の
ような陽気も去って慈雨の
降った翌日、良く晴れた。朝夕は
半袖ではちょっと寒いくらい。

薫風、五月晴れという言葉が似合う
二日ほどだった。
少々のんびりとできた。

さて、明日はワイン東京2010に
出かけます。今回はどんな出会いが
あるでしょうか。

Holiday week of May was over
and the summer-like weather
was also gone, after mercy rain,
it was very fine yesterday and today.
The temperature went down a bit in the
morning and in the afternoon and I
felt a bit too cool with short sleev
shirt.

Thanks to the balmy breeze of May and
the fine weather, I got relaxed a bit
over the weekend.

Now I am leaving to attend Wine Tokyo 2010
tomorrow. I wonder what kind of new people
I am going to meet this year.

誘引線に絡みついたまきひげを
とっていると、巻きひげとワイヤの
間に小さい蜘蛛がいる。写真の
蜘蛛は大きい方で、この1/2から
1/3位の白い蜘蛛が多い。
こんな小さな蜘蛛が捕らえて
食べるものって何なのだろう。

今日午後雨となる。
漸く降ってくれた。
待ちわびた雨。

While removing tendrils from the
foliage wires, I found many small
spiders. The one in the picture is
rather big and usually one third to
one fourth of its size. I wonder
what their prey is for such small
spiders?

After all it rained this afternoon
which we farmers had waited for.

朝から真夏の様な暑さ。
この陽気でりんごは満開
になり。葡萄もかなり進んだ。
巨峰は展葉が進み、ワイン葡萄も
発芽し始めた。

今日は午後から味噌作り。
もう何年も一緒にやっている
顔見知り同士なので、手際が
良い。煮た豆をつぶす機械の
おかげもあって、2時間ほどで
10人ほどの味噌作りが
終わった。私は26キロほどを
仕込んだ。1年後くらいに
美味しくなります。

It was a warm day like
mid summer. Thanks to the
weather, apple blossoms
have been in full bloom
suddenly and the kyoho vines
have started opening youg
leaves. Wine grape vines have
had just bud bursting at once.

In such afternoon, I joined a
miso making session. The group has
already made miso together for years
and every thing was quiet organized.
With the help of grinding machine to
make boiled beans into mash, we finished
for around 10 people in about two hours.
I've got around 26kg of miso paste which
will become ready to eat in about one
year.
