春のような陽気が続いた後は冷たい雨。
また、雪や低温の予報も出ています。
が、春への歩みは確実です。日も大分伸びて
畑の作業も大詰めに近くなって来ました。
月内にある第一回目の防除に間に合うように
畑の準備もしなければ。

新しい畑もつくりますよ。

先日のブログに対して、暖かいメッセージを
頂きました。ありがとうございます。皆さんの期待を
感じながら、自分も奮い立たせております。

After the warm weather, we had chilly rain today
and yesterday. The snow and low temperature are
expected within this week as well. But Spring is just
around the corner and the longer daytime hurried us
up to the busy vineyard operations. I have to make my
vineyards ready for the first spray within this month.

I have to prepare new vineyards, too.

Thank you for the heart felt messages to the blog the day
before yesterday. I am so happy to find many people are
also happy about the progress of the plan.
Your expectations also encourage me a lot.
I will try my best!

楠わいなりーというワイナリーがもうじき出来ます。
実は「楠わいなりー株式会社」という会社を昨年12月に設立し、
本年中の醸造開始を目指して現在諸手続きを進めています。

今まで以上に高品質の葡萄を造り、そしてより高品質の
ワインを作るべく頑張ります。
また、畑も広げてゆく計画です。

今後、会員制（ワインの会、ヴィニョロンの会）などを通じて
このブティックワイナリーの立ち上げに参加したいという方を
募集したいと考えています。準備整い次第募集のご案内を致します。

A winery called Kusunoki winery will be coming soon.
A company called Kusunoki Winery Co., Ltd. was established
last December and I am proceeding documentation with the aim
to start its own winemaking this year.

I will be making every effort to make better wines and am planning
to expand the vineyard, too.

As certain memberships structures like winery membership and
vineyard membership are under way, please join me
as a special member to start a brand new boutique winery together.
When it is ready, I will announce such membership for you to join.

Let’s hope that an exciting winery will be born soon.

恒例のというか、n-styleでのライブ。
FM長野でパーソナリティーもしている
柴村佳奈さん。

ジャズライブとはあったが、ちょとちがう。
楽曲は我々には懐かしい70年代のものが
多かった。ラヴィング・ユーから始まって
スティービー・ワンダーで終わるまで。途中
和製グロリア・エステファン的なラテンな乗りが。
イージー・リスニングなミュージックでした。

ＣＤ買ってサインしてもらいました。
感激。

Tonight Jazz Live at n-style as usual.
The singer was Kana Shibamura, a singer and
a radio personality at FM Nagano.

The live was announced as Jazz Live but it was not
actually. It was rather an easy listening music by Kana.
She started with Loving You which reminded me of
Olivia Newtonjon and ended with Stevie Wonder. In the half way,
her performance was like Gloria Estephan with latin rhythm.

I bought two CDs and got her autograph on them.
How exciting.

最近注目されている山形のワイン。その
山形から葡萄栽培について話をして欲しいという
ご依頼を頂いて、僭越ながらお引受しました。
参加された方々はブドウ栽培と醸造に真摯に
取り組んでおられる方々で、私が話した内容など
既にご存知だったのではないかな、と
役不足に申し訳なく感じております。

山形は雪の中でした。5年ぶりの大雪だそうで
長野と比べると道路には背丈ほどの雪が
積もっていました。といっても置賜地方のことで
山形市には雪はほとんどありませんでしたけど。

ここでは、棚栽培をやりたくても棚がつぶれてしまう
恐れがあるとか。また、急斜面の畑が多く高齢かにともない
その3分の２が耕作されていないとか。
こういうところで頑張って素晴らしい葡萄とワインを
作っておられる方々には頭が下がります。
須坂あたりの条件はとても
恵まれていると考えざるを得ませんね。

今日参加された方々や、ワイナリー施設を見せてくださったり、
ワインの試飲をさせてくださったワイナリーの
皆様に感謝申し上げます。

Recently Yamagata has attracted much attention
for its wines. I was requested to talk about wine grape
growing in Yamagata. I thought first that I was not the
person to do such big role but I accepted the offer for
various reasons any how. The audiences were very serious
grapegrowers and winemakers who may have know the
issues I talked about. After finishing it, I felt a bit sorry
for my ability for their expectation.

Yamagata was in the snow. They said they had such heavy
snow for the first time in last five years and the dept by the
road was about my height in Okitama area. While there was
no snow found in the streets in Yamagata City.

In many areas there, the tendon trellis often collapse due
to the heavy snow and they cannot challenge overhead trellis
even though they wanted to. And often the vineyards are
developed on the south facing slope which is very good and
many growers have quit these vineyards due to the age
and the penalizing hard work required. I cannot help but
doing hat off to the great efforts of the growers
and the winemakers who produce great grapes and great wines.
The conditions in and around
Suzaka are rather easy, I have to say by comparing theirs.

I thank you very much for the people attended the talk,
showing the wine making area and giving me opportunities
of tasting wines.

24億円（80円換算の概算です）余りのグランジが眠る
ペンフォールズ・マギル・エステイトの地下の樽貯蔵庫。
2009と2010ヴィンテージは樽に、それ以外は瓶でこの地下
倉庫に保管されているそうです。

It is explained that around A$30million wines are stocked
in this underground cellar. Vintage 2009 and 2010 are in
the hogshead and others are in the bottles at this Penfolds
Magill Estate.
