has been changing through maturation in
bottle. Available at the cellar door only.

今度の日曜日に招かれたイベント。
３月１１日になってしまったのだが、
それは私の手の及ばないところで
決まった事で…。

せっかく来て下さるお客様には
楽しんで頂きたいものです。

This is the event I was invited to.
It will be held on 3.11 which was set
beyond my control.

I hope the guests will enjoy the dinner
and the wine.

日中は陽気で剪定日和。
厚着をしていると厚いくらいであった。

畑の前の人形博物館には驚くほどの人出
があった。ひっきりなしの大人や子供の団体に
家族連れも多く、この後の計画のおねだりをしている
小さな子供の声に混じって、忙しそうに
対応している職員の声も聞こえてくる。
嬉しい活気ある午後のひと時。

…ワイナリーはそれほどでもなかった
様だったけれど。

It was a calm and warm day and the best
for pruning. Thick clothing was not necessary
during early afternoon.

There were so many people visiting the Folk Doll Museum
in front of one of my vineyards as the special display of
Girl’s Festival dolls was shown. Group tours of adults as well as
children arrived one after another and so many family.

The air was crowded with the visitors voices. I heard some
children asking for permission from their parents on what
to do next and museum staff touring the site.
It was a happy and vibrant afternoon.

Meanwhile we did not have so many guests at our
Winery though.

仙台の友人から一冊の本が送られてきた。
「河北新報のいちばん長い日」。
どこかで聞いたことのあるような題名だと
思いながらページをめくり始めた。
抑揚を抑えた文章で淡々とつづられる
3月11日以降の新聞社の格闘の日々。
行間に込められた思いに
止まらなくなる。

あの日の映像や、6月に尋ねた女川の光景が
鮮やかに思い出されてくる。

あの日以降、みんな闘っているのだ。ついつい
忘れがちになってしまうし、他人事の様に思えて
しまうが、そうではないのだ。
状況は変ってきているが
やはり何か出来ることは、今やらなければと
改めて思う。　

A friend of mine in Sendai sent me a book titled
The longest day of Kahoku Shinpo News Paper.
The title sounds like the one I heard somewhere before
but my fingers turning pages hardly stopped with the
true story (I believe) written in each page and in
between the lines.

Itt reminds me of the scenes I saw on the TV on March 11
and those I actually saw in Onagawa last June.

It is the fact that all the people have been fighting since that day which I
often forget in everyday life. And I find myself becoming more indifferent
in what has been happening. That is not right.

I think there are something I can do and that I have to do now.

30段雛飾り。　須坂は北信州とはいえ
雪はほとんどありません。
お出かけ下さい。

その須坂を長野県庁10階食堂より
遠望すると。夏はきっと緑色で
綺麗なんだろうな。

丹波島あたりから根子岳方面
を臨むとこんな感じ。

The reputed Girl's Doll Festival
dolls displayed at the World Folk Doll
Museum in Suzaka. We do not have heavy snow
here so please come and visit this magnificient
doll display.
