Here are two kinds of Totto-chan
label for rose and white wine.

先日エッセイストでヴィラデストのオーナーの
玉村豊男さんが訪ねていらっしゃいました。

その昔「パリ旅の雑学ノート」などを読んで
パリで暮らしていた頃のことを懐かしんだり
したものでした（なんちゃって）。
今だにカフェのトイレは
あんなかなあ？

Monsieur Toyooh Tamamura visited us the
other day. He is an essayist and the owner
of famous Villa d'Est winery. Long time ago
I read his essay about so called The Things in
Paris and remembered when I had lived
there for a shot while long long time ago.

I wonder if the restroom in the cafe is still
like the one used to be?

ちょっと前の新梢。
左がリースリングで右がソーヴィニオン・ブラン。
品種によって、葉っぱの形が違いますが、新梢の色
や先端の色なども違います。
こんなことを形態学などといいますが…。

As seen in this picture, the color of new shoot
is different for Riesling, left and for Sauvignon Blanc,
right. The differences are shown in the leaf shape as
well as in the growth tip color, etc.　It is called
Morphology.

気軽に。音楽と木々のそよぎを聞きながら。
気持ちのよい風の中で。釜焼きのピザでも
つまみながら。ワイングラスを片手に。
緑を愛でつつ…。ひと時の初夏の過ごし方。
ワイナリーで。

Listening easily to the live music and summer breeze
in the flickering sun light through the leaves,
picking a piece of pizza and the glass of wine in your
hand, you can enjoy passing time an early summer
afternoon at our winery.

メルローの接木。
緑枝接木、別名高接ぎ。
形成層の接合が鍵です。
着いてくれ！

シャルドネの花が咲いたよ。
キャップが飛んで花弁の無い花だよ。

This is green grafting of Merlot.
Its success depends on the timing and
the contact of cambium.
Hope it will be successful.

Chardonnay is in bloom. The cap dropped
and the small flower has no petals.
