すっかり春の恒例行事になった感がある昔の
友人のお墓参り。32年前紅顔の美男美女だった
新入社員の同期達。若くして逝ってしまった友人を
偲んで今年は12人が集まった。

語り始めると尽きぬ人生の変遷と境遇はしかし
胸にしまって一時昔に帰る。程よい距離感と親近感。
11年前に再会するまではお互い20年ほども会って
いなかった仲間達。

今年は皆で私の田舎に訪ねてくれるそうだ。

It has become an annual event of this season now. A gathering
to visit an old friend’s grave to remember her and pray for her
peaceful rest. We had been shining good looking young men and women
as new employees at a company. This year twelve of us gathered for
the friend who had passed away at her young age.

Each of us, having different lives till today kept so many things to talk
in mind but enjoyed the time together by coming back to the good old days
with comfortable respect to each other. Until eleven years ago, we had seldom
met each other for twenty years after having left the old company.

They are planning to visit me in my home town this year.

4月13日（日）東海ラジオに出演します。
午前8時10分からの「らじおガモン倶楽部」という
由緒正しき番組です。お聞き苦しい事を話さない
かと心配ですが、よかったら聞いて下さい。
番組は15分ほどです。

I will be participating in a radio program at
Tokai Radio and broadcasted in and around Nagoya
region. The program is called Radio Gamon Club
and is a long life program having already over
20 years of history. It will start at 8:10
in the morning Sunday April 13 for 15 minutes.
I am worrying to speak something wrong.
But please tune up to the radio.
You may listen to the radio if you were in either
Aichi, Gifu or Mie prefectures.

先週瓶詰めした日滝原2013．
セミヨンとソーヴィニオン・ブランのブレンド。
とってもいいワインになった。
セミヨンもＳＢも単独で少量づつ瓶詰め。
ようやくセミヨンが本領発揮。

セミヨンはある意味難しい品種で、何となれば
最低でも樽で3年は経たないと美味しくならないとも
言われる。2012も可能性を感じてセミヨン100％を
一樽分瓶詰めしたが、その後眠ったまま。
但し2013は大分違うのでとっても楽しみ。
リリースは6月～7月頃かな。

Hitakihara 2013, the blend of Semillon and
Sauvignon Blanc, was bottled last week.
I am very happy of the quality of the wine.
I also bottled 100% varietal Semillon and SB wines
for each small lot. The Semillon shows its characteristics
to the great extent in the bottle.

Semillon is very difficult variety and is considered to usually take long
time to show its brilliant characteristics, say at least three years in
barrel. Semillon 2012 was good and I bottled 100% varietal wine
for a few hundred bottles but since then the wine went into the
quiet maturation mode, so called sleeping condition. As such, I cannot
predict how much it changes after bottling.
But in any case, 2013 seems different so far and I look forward to
release it in a few months time.

先週は20度程の日もあったのですが、
昨日から雪が舞い氷が張って冬に逆戻りです。
そういえばここ2年ほど満開の桜に雪が積もって
います。

先週のこと。ようやく水をあげ始めたワインぶどう
の樹。涙とも真珠とも呼ばれます。

We had warm weather last week and the temperature
went up to 20 degrees C but it turned to be winter again
this week. We had snow fall and ice yesterday and today.
It reminds me that cherry blossoms in full bloom were covered
with snow for last two years.

The vines started sucking water from the ground.
The dripping water is called tear or pearl.

昨日の事、所用にて始発で名古屋と東京へ。
名古屋は暑いくらいの陽気に散り始めた
桜。初めての名古屋城は人出の割りに
のんびりとした風情。

東京は一転結構な雨。
九段下から半蔵門方面へ
懐かしい千鳥が淵の桜は冷たい雨の中。
夕刻近く濡れながらも大勢の人出が
東京らしい。

I took first train to Nagoya yesterday and continued
to Tokyo. It was warm in Nagoya and the Nagoya Castle
was crowded with many people viewing the cherry blossoms.
Many people but the air was calm there.

But in Tokyo, it was raining heavily. I took walk from Kudanshita
to Hanzomon on the old famous Chidorigafuchi sakura path.
Despite of the cold and wet weather, there were so many people
out there for the cherry blossoms even in the late afternoon
which was another usual scene in Tokyo.
