一昨日、昨日と気温が23度を超え
一気に花が進んだ。臥竜公園の桜も
５分咲きから翌日には満開になった。
農作業から帰ると顔が日に焼けて
引きつるほどだ。

雨も順調で、葡萄畑の
草丈もいつの間にか随分
伸びている。

そんな中、春の進み具合を何枚か。
巨峰の芽も大分丸くなってきました。

畑の中の道。りんごの葉も開いて
来てます。

人形博物館駐車場脇の桜も満開です。

プルーンも小さな緑と黄色の
かかった白い花を沢山咲かせ始め
めています。

今日は葡萄畑の開墾の
続き。抜いた根を焼却しつつ、
アンカーを埋めて行きます。
午後は雨の中の作業となりました。

Because it got to over 23degree Celcius
yesterday and the day before yesterday,
all the Spring flowers got another big step
to full bloom. Famous cherry flowers at Garyu
Koen Park announced full bloom only one day
after its announcement of half bloom.
I got itchy cheaks after farming because of
the sun tan.

With adequate amount of rain, weeds are also
growing in my vineyards.

Many small flowers of prune in white with hint
of green and yellow.

It was cloudy in the morning and rainy in the
afternoon. I continued to develop new vineyard.
Pulled roots were burnt with care and the anchors
for the trellis were berried with machine.

何日か前に紹介した
「ハチドリの歌」の
アンニャ・ライトの
歌と語りの会を須坂でやろうと
計画してます。
今日人形博物館に共催のお願い
をしました。

親子で楽しめる、
日本語の歌もある
90分ほどのミニ・コンサート
です。

これを機会に、須坂初め
多くの人にエコへの関心を
向けてもらったり、意識を
高めたりできたりすれば
良いなと考えたからです。
また、市内のエコ関係
の活動をしているグループ
の方にも後援をお願いしたり
参加を呼びかけて、地元の
活動の紹介もできれば
良いなと考えています。

5月11日（日）午前11時から
を予定してます。皆さんも
是非おいで下さい。

予定なので、変更が出るかも
しれませんが…。

I am planning a Anja Wright
mini concert in Suzaka. She sings
"Song of a humming bird". I asked
World Folk Doll Museum to be co-sponsor
the event.

I will be a enjoyable event which family
with small kids can join.

I think it would be a good opportunity
to raise interests in eco or encourage
the idea among the people. I will call for
eco groups in Suzaka for cooperation. They
can also introduce their activities at
such opportunity.

It will be at 11am on Sunday, May 11th.

巨峰からナガノパープルに
更新中の畑でワイヤを張っていたら
「ケーンッ、ケーンッ、バサバサバサッ」
という泣き声と音が近くでする。

振り返ると、こ～んなところに
雉がいる！　人形博物館のそばで
結構人通りも多いのに、近くに
巣でもあるのか、泣き声を立てて
羽をバサつかせている。
お隣さんの畑でほんの
20メートルほどのところだ。

雉の声はよく聞くし、その姿も
しばしば見かけるが、もっと
畑の中の畑の話で、
何故こんなところにと。

大抵遠くで見かけてもすぐに
姿を隠してしまうが、今日のは
珍しくぐずぐずしている。
少々近寄っても右手の桑の木の
根本のくぼみに姿を隠すように
している。もう少し近寄ると
用心して逃げる準備か。
色鮮やかな雄の雉でした。

去年植えたパープルの小さい木
の芽が随分ふくらんできました。
他の木の芽はまだまだ硬いままです。

I heard bird's screaming and
strange sound nearby while I was
working on the wire in the
Nagano Purple grape vineyard.

I turned around and found a pheseant!
In the neighbour's faem close to
World Folk Doll Museum where many people and
cars are going up and down, a pheseant was
screaming and fluttered about 20 meters from me.

I often hear and sight pheseant in the vineyard
which is in the middle of orchards and vineyards
but not in such a place.

Usually a pheasant is very cautious and ran away
as soon as it finds people. But today, he was
hanging around and dared to stay around.
When I apporoached to him, he tried to hide
in a ditch under a tree. When I walked up
closer to him, he was getting ready to run away.
It was a brilliant coloured male pheasant.

The below shows two big buds of Nagano Purple
grape that I planted last year
even though the other bud of the bigger
vines are still tight.

今日は雨の天気予報。
午前中一時少しパラついたが
日も照りだした。

朝、電話もせずに豊洲の農協
にゆき、バックホーを半日
借りてきてサクランボの抜根
（ばっこん）を行う。抜いた
根を枝の上に積み重ねて焼却
の準備完了。燃えやすい細い枝を
押しつぶしてしまったので燃えずらいかな？

午後ハイウェイナビという高速の
SAにおいてある観光案内を出版している
会社の人とミーティング。須坂の
果物等を前面に出したいそうだ。
「須坂の果物は一般には
まだまだ知られていない」というの
が共通認識であった。
これからどうする？

午後他の畑で植え替え等していると
いつも野菜を頂く隣の畑のおじさんが
私の葡萄畑の「のびろ」を取らせて
くれ言ってきた。どうぞどうぞ。
薬散する前にとって下さい。
この畑にはにらやのびろが自生していて
知人の間では、おいしいと評判がいい。

去年は私ものびろのしょうゆ漬けを
作ったし。今日はにらを大分とって
来た。ふきのとうに続いて
春の鮮烈な香りだ。
おじさんからもほうれん草を頂いた。

本郷の、くだもの街道と田んぼに
はさまれた旧八幡宮跡の桜が
早咲きなのか、満開でした。

Weather forecast said it would be rainy today.
But actually after a very few drizzling, it was sunny.
I borrowed a bucket excavator from Agri Coop for
half a day and removed roots of cherry trees.
Removed roots were stuck up on the branches which
seems to be a bit difficult to burn.

I had a meeting with a company pusblishing Highway
Navi free paper at Service Areas of express way
in the afternoon. He wants to promote Suzaka's fruits
which he recognizes are in very high quality but not known
among the public yet. We shared the same idea.
I wonder what he wants to do now.

In another vineyard later on a neighbor farmer asked me
to let him pick some wild vegetables in my
vineyard. No problme, of course. He always give me his vegetables.
and gave me his spinatches today.

The wild Spring vegetables like leeks are very good.
I harvested some today.　They have very strong semll
of Spring which is comparable of butterbur.

I found a kind of early cherry blossom in full bloom
in Hongo-cho at an old shrine historical site.

街の中、畑の中に大分
花が咲いてきて、賑わいを
かもしだしている。
黄色、白、薄桃、ピンクと
そこかしこ目につくように
なった。

桜も大分咲いてきている。
郡役所の桜は５分咲きと
いったところ。

かと思えば色あせた椿が
ひっそりと雨に濡れている。

今日は曇り空。
畑の中の道を通ると
あちらこちら
に見える梅の花が
満開になっている。

農道沿いの１本の
大きく育った梅の木。
細い枝にびっしりと
花が咲いていた。

私は去年植えた葡萄畑
の小さな樹の周りの
草むしり。可憐な
オオイヌノフグリが
なかなか力強く根を
張っていて、たくましい。

There are many flowers in bloom
here and there in town and in
the farms. The color of yellow,
white, pale pink and pink are
lively.

Cherry blossoms are on the way
to full bloom. I found ones in half bloom
at the old municipal office.

On the other hand, cameria flowers
long passed its peak time are wet
in the Spring rain.

It was cloudy today. I saw many plum (ume)
flowers in full bloom when I drove in the orchards
and vineyards. Here is a tall one by a farm road
with many samll flowers on the twigs.

I pulled weeds aound the small vines
in the vineyard where I planted last Spring.
The weeds with small pretty blue flowers have
already strong root systems warning me
the beginning of another growing season
even though the grape buds are not opening yet.
