雨のせいで猛暑が大分和らいだ13日
峰の原の星空観察会は屋内で…という予定が
以外にも雲が流れて、ペルセルス座流星群に
出会えました。大きな歓声があがります。
天の川や夏の大三角形に土星の輪もくっきりと見る
ことができた、涼しい高原の夏の夜のひと時。

翌日、峰の原から車でわずか30分ほど、湯の丸高原
にある池の平湿原を散歩。標高2000メートルの湿原は
木で遊歩道が整備されていて、雨上がりの爽やかな風が
秋の気配。　

都会からの親戚を横手山に連れて行こうか迷いましたが、
出発した時の雨も晴れ、前夜に続いて嬉しい経験を
喜びました。

峰の原から周囲を見回すと、近くなのに知らなかった信州の
良いところが見えてきます。

The rain cooled down the summer heat on August 13 but the
the Perseid Meteor Shower watch was supposed to be canceled
due to the bad weather. However, I was lucky enough to watch
a few shooting stars in the sky as well as the Milky Way,
Large triangle of summer and the Saturn’s rings because
of the wind having blown off the clouds.

On the following day, 30 minutes drive took me to the Ikenodaira
Wetlands which is on the Yunomaru Highland at the altitude of
2000 meters. The wooden promenade was prepared around the area
and I was able to enjoy the highland breeze after rain.

I though I would take my relatives from Tokyo to the Yokoteyama
Mountain in the north but we all enjoyed the experience with the sudden
sun shine on the day following the clear sky the night before.

Looking around from Minenohara, we can find beautiful sceneries
of Shinshu near us that we still have not seen.

先週のとんでもない暑い日に長野県ワイン協会
の視察研修がありました。今年は地元長野県の
ワイナリーということで、新しい動きが活発な
東信地区のワイナリーと畑にお邪魔しました。

アルカンヴィーニュ、ヴィラデスト、
リュードヴァン、はすみふぁーむ、
ファンキーシャトーとマンズの東山の
畑でした。

皆さんとても大変な苦労をしてブドウをつくり
ワインを作っています。いつもは自分の畑と
ワイナリーしか見ていませんが（余裕が無い！）、
考え方や実践の仕方にとても感動を受け
勉強になりました。

その後、訪ねたワイナリーのワインを
飲む機会がありましたが、作っている人の
顔と話が思い出されて感慨深いものが
ありました。

うちはまだまだです。

The winery tour was organized by Nagano Winery Association
last week on a very hot day. Toshin area was picked up for the
tour as it is the area where new wineries are opening
and new projects are going on.

We visited such wineries as Arc en Vigne, Villa d’Est, Rue de vin,
And Hasumi Farm, as well as such vineyards as Mercian Mariko,
Funky Chateau Higashiyama,and Mans Higashiyama.

We found that all the people worked very hard and poured lots of
endeavors with enthusiasm which moved me a lot and made me
think that our efforts were not enough.

After the tour, we had chance to taste the wines
made by the wineries we visited that day. They reminded
me of each face of the wineries and what they talked to us
in the vineyards.

今日、明日と京都の夏の風物詩
鴨川納涼祭に参加します。

これは京都在住の全国の県人会の皆様が
ふるさとのうまいものを一堂に紹介するという
イベントで、須坂市も長野県人会のブースで
八町きゅうりや桃・ブドウなど特産物を販売します。
楠わいなりーも参加してジュースなどを
販売します。

あいにく私は行けませんが、よく日にやけた
元気な高津さんが昨年に続いて参加して
くれます。

日中は暑いですが、午後5時から10時迄の
イベントです。お近くの方は夕涼みがてら
ぜひおいで下さい。

三条大橋から四条大橋の西側河川敷
のあたりです。

We will be participating in the Kamogawa Summer
Festival in Kyoto today and tomorrow.

The people from each local prefecture living in
Kyoto host the event to introduce their regions
And soul foods. Suzaka City will be the part of
Nagano Prefecture booth to sell local products
including very rare Hatcho Kyuri cucumber、peaches
, and grapes as well as juices from Kusunoki Winery.

I am not able to go there due to another event
in Suzaka but well sun tanned smiling Takatsu san
will be there.

The event starts at 5 in the evening and ends at 10pm.
So please come to enjoy walking by the river in the evening.

The venue is in the levy of Kamogawa River at around
Sanjo Ohashi to Sijyo Ohashi.

連日35度くらいになっているのでは
ないかと思われる炎暑が続いています。
朝方は過ごしやすいのですが…。

そういう気候のせいか、今日は
市内のお店で始めたピンクカレー
を食べました。

暑いときにはカレーがあうかも。

The temperature may reach 35 degree C
every day though it gets cooler in the
morning.

Such weather made me go for spicy curry
and rice for lunch, just like this pinky
one served at a shop in Suzaka.
