今朝は思わぬ春の雪だった。
湿った重い雪。須坂市街では、道には
雪がなかったのだが、200メートルほど
標高の高いワイナリー周辺は25センチほど積もって
いただろうか。あわてて始めた雪かきは午前中
一杯かかってしまった。

昨夜のワイン会で出した白ワイン。
リースリングリオン2011　スペシャル・キュヴェ。
日滝原2010、シャルドネ2008。

赤ワインは
ピノノワール2009、シラーズ2008、
カベルネs/メルロー2009、メルロー/カベルネs2007。

ピノがよくなっているのに驚いた。シャルドネの熟成具合も
かなり良いですね。

We had unexpected snow this morning. It was wet and heavy
snow in spring time. There was almost no snow in the street
in the city but the depth was around 20-25cm at around the
winery where the altitude was higher by about 200m from the
city. So we had to shovel snow out of around the winey and it
took us whole morning.

Here are the wines I prepared for the wine session last night,
Whites are Riesling-Lion 2011 Special Cuvee, Hitakihara 2010
and Chardonnay 2008. Reds are Pinot Noir 2009, Shiraz 2008,
Cabernets/Merlot 2009 and Merlot/Cabernets 2007.

I was surprised with the Pinot which appeared to be much
better for now than I had expected. Chardonnay matured in
good condition, too.
