I bought a pack of cheese named “Tokachi Camanbert” which is
a natural cheese according to the label on the reverse side of the
pack. It is said to be made of raw milk and salt. I simply imagined
that the cheese was a camanbert cheese made of milk from Tokachi
area in Hokkaido.
According to today’s paper, the same producer had announce the recall
of their products including “Tockachi melting cheese …” for the total
quantity of 230,000 pieces due to the possibility of metal chip comingle.
What is more, the raw material was imported from Germany. It indicates
that the raw material from Germany would be either raw milk or salt.
It should not be salt.
I wonder why such kind of labeling is permitted and why the
producers used such labeling ?
I have tried to support this milk product company after
The a Snow branded company’s big problem some years
ago. But it made me confused.
Or is there another raw material that is not required
to be mentioned on the packaging?
