昨日、須坂市の割烹能登忠にて催されたワイン会。ワイン手当ての当番は私でした。今回出したのは、3月にオーストラリアから買ってきたものを含むオーストラリア産をメインに。どれも大好評で、みなさんニコニコして帰られました。よかったよかった。

1. ジェイコブズ・クリーク　スパークリング・ロゼ　
シャルドネとピノ・ノワールから作られたロゼのスパークリングワイン。この価格で瓶内2次発酵しているとは！　単純に楽しめます。
2.　ペタルマ　リースリング2005　ハンリンヒル
豊かで上品な果実香としっかりした酸が特徴でミネラルも感じられます。繊細でありながら力強いワイン。
3. トルブレック　ルーサンヌ・マルサンヌ・ヴィオニエ2009
ランリグのワイナリーから。バロッサでは珍しいブレンドで、日本未販売。尚、ダレンバーグのランチでお替りを2本したワインは、マネースパイダーというルーサンヌ100％。
4. ???
正体は内緒でサーブ。実は楠ヴィニヤーズ シャルドネ2008。
グラスの中で香りが立つのにやや時間がかかりますが長い時間をかけて楽しめます。
嬉しいことに好評でした。
5. クラレンドン・ヒルズ　グルナッシュ（クラレンドン・ヒルズ）2007　
すべてのワインがシングル・ヴィニヤードのヴァラエタル・ワインとなっています。
大変好評でした。
6. ジェイコブス・クリーク　ジャカランダ・リッジ2005
22ヶ月の樽熟成と26ヶ月の瓶熟成を経てリリースされたばかり。高い濃縮感の果実香とソフトなタンニン、長い余韻が楽しめます。あふれる若々しさ。JCのセラードアのみで販売。
これも大好評でしたね。
7. ペンフォールズ　カベルネ/シラーズ　BIN 389 1996
前年ヴィンテージのグランジに使われたワインを含む、南オーストラリア州各地にある畑の最上級の葡萄を使用したワイン。とても複雑かつ力強いワインが15年を経て得られた熟成度合いとはこういうものかと。金曜日にデカンタして土曜日に再びデカンタしてサーブ。
そのほか頂き物のワイン2本。
① ダレンバーグ　Twentyeight Road 2005 ムールヴェードル100％の珍しいワイン。濃厚ですが思いの外滑らか。マクラーレン・ヴェール産。
② ヘントレイ　ファーム　The Beauty 2006 Shiraz バロッサのグルノック・クリークの有名ワイン。シラーズに少しヴィオニエがブレンドされている。うまい！

Here is the wine list I prepared for yesterday’s wine tasting dinner at Notochu Japanese Traditional Restaurant in Suzaka. Most of them were Australian wines that I bought from Australia in March. The attendants liked them very much and they went back home with smiles. I was happy to see that.

1. Jacob’s Creek Sparkling Rose
Made of chardonnay and pinot noir. The price was very reasonable for such bottle fermented sparkling wine at such quality.

2. Petaluma Riesling 2005 Hanlin Hill
A lot of fruit with crispy acid and minerals with a hint of matured kerosene aroma. Sophisticated but strong.

3. Torbreck Roussanne Marssane Viognier 2009
A very rare blend white as Barrosa white from the winery famous for its Run Rig. It has not been introduced to the Japanese market yet. We had similar type of wine at d’Arenberg for lunch and asked for two additional bottles that is the wine of 100% Roussanne, Money Spider.

4. ???
I did not disclose what this wine was at first. It was Kusunoki Vineyards Chardonnay 2008. It needs some time for its aroma to open which lingers for long time. I was delighted at the favorable reception by the members.

5. Clarendon Hills Grenache (Clarendon Hills) 2007
All the wines from this winery are single vineyard varietal wines. This is really good wine and the members liked it very much.

6. Jacob’s Creek Jacaranda Ridge 2005
It has been recently released after 22 month barrel and 26 month bottle maturation.
Very concentrated fruit aroma and soft tannin with long finish. Young but very pleasant wine to drink now. Sold only at cellar door. People were surprised at its style and quality and liked it very much, of course.

7. Penfolds Cabernet Shiraz BIN 389 1996
The wine used for the previous vintage Grange is held in this wine together with other top quality grapes sourced from the vineyards all over the South Australia. You can tell from this wine how a big and gutsy Australian wine can transform over 15 years of time.　I decanted once on
Friday and did it again at the restaurant.

Other two wines given from a member.
#1 d’ Arenberg Twentyeight Road Mourvedre. Concetnrated but soft. A rare 100% varietal wine.
#2 Hentley Farm The Beauty 2006 Shiraz. A very famous wine from Greenock Creek in Barrosa. Shiraz with a bit of Viognier to soften the very strong wine. Another real good wine.
