今年初めて米つくりにトライ。
葡萄畑を借りているお宅が今年から
誰も田んぼを作らなくなったので
借りることになった。野菜を作る場所を
探していたのだが、せっかくだから
米を作ろうと思い立ち。今年は
慣行農法でやるが、除草剤は使わずに
木村式の除草方法で。

代掻きの最中、ふと見上げたら山の緑
が美しく輝いていた。

1回目の代掻き後の田んぼ

I will try to grow rice this year for the first time.
As the landlord of my vineyard stop growing rice
this year, I happen to rent the rice paddy. I was looking
for a place for veges actually but I decided to grow rice as
there happened to be rice field.

This year I will follow conventional way of growing rice
except for herbicides. I will try Mr. Kimura’s way for
weed control. We will see what will happen.

During rough cultivation after water filling,
I happened to look up and found beautiful
fresh green color of the mountain.
