投稿の詳細: 早坂さんのこと　Mr. and Mrs. Hayasaka

今回アデレード滞在中は、
ワイナリーツアーのアレンジも含めて
現地の早坂さんご夫妻のご親切に
すっかり甘えさせて頂きました。
ありがとうございます。何度言っても
言い足りないくらいですが、「そんなに
何度も言わなくてもいいよ」と、
泣けるようなお言葉。

早坂さんとは不思議な縁で
私が留学中に知り合い、今に続いて
いる。聞くところによると、今年の
JCBカードの会員誌にご夫婦が紹介される
と言うことなので、JCBカードをお持ちの
方はご注目を。

早坂さんは日本人としてただ一人
オーストラリアワイン研究所(AWRI)の現役
研究者で、現在は質量分析を専門と
されている。ワイン研究への応用に
アメリカやニュージーランド等へも
指導に出かけられたりしている。
最近では、ブッシュファイアによる
煙のワインへの影響に関する研究を
発表されていて、その影響物質の生成
過程の解明に貢献した。

またアデレード大学やAWRI,南オーストラリア州
研究開発機構(SARDI)といったワイン教育・
研究機関の集まった場所での指導的立場にある
唯一の日本人ということで、各機関からも
日本関係の諸事業では頼りにされていて、
山梨大学からの院生受入れ等でもご活躍
されている。

そうそう、あの「イグ・ノーベル賞」を受賞された
数少ない日本人の一人でもあります。

奥様の景子さんは、人形作家で以前に
須坂市に来られた時に、人形博物館と
縁ができて早坂景子人形展を
市内の人形博物館で開催するに至った。
横浜の人形館では、何年も展示販売
されている。

どういう訳か親しくさせて頂いて、
今回も大変お世話になりました。
早坂さんご夫婦始め行く先々で
関係する方々に親切にして頂いて、
とても幸運でした。
ありがたくて、お借りした車を運転中に
涙がにじんでくるほどでした。

I would like to express special thanks
to Mr. and Mrs. Hayasaka in Adelaide
who have helped me in many ways before
and while I visited there. Winery tours
was arranged with their advice, too.
I was so thankful and repeated appreciation
many times and finally was told not to
mention any more. I really really thank
you from the bottom of my heart.

I happened to meet Mr. Hayasaka at
Uni while I was studying and since
then we have been friends. They encouraged
me a lot while I was studying winemaking
and viticulture there. They seem to be introduced
in the membership magazine of JCB credit card
later this year, so please check it up.

Mr. Hayasaka is an only Japanese
researcher at Australia Wine Research
Institute (AWRI) and is specialist of
Mass Spectrometry. The application of the
research into wine industry is rather new
technology and he went to USA, New Zealand
to teach how to apply MS in to wine industry.
Recent study of his about the
bushfire fume and its influence into wine
aroma contributed to analyze the production
process of special compounds.

Because he is the only one Japanese in the
management level among such institutions
as AWRI, Adelaide Uni, South Australia
Research and Development Institute (SARDI)
which are situated in the same location, he
is relied upon in Japan related business.
He helped a lot to a program to accept
students at master course from the University
of Yamanashi.

Ah yes! He is one of the few Japanese who
was awarded the Ig Nobel Prize!

His wife, Keiko is a doll artist.
When she visited Suzaka city before,
she happened to have a relationship
with the World Folk Doll Museum in Suzaka
and came to have her Dolls Exhibition
there. Her dolls have been displayed and
sold at Doll Museum in Yokohama.

I have become a close friend of them by
chance and they really took good care
of me. I really appreciate it very much.
Not only them but other people I met during
this trip were all so kind. I had almos
tears in my eyes while I was driving their car
on the roads. Thank you very much.
