20年ぶりはオーバーにせよ
10年以上ぶりに歯科医に行った。
10何年前にした詰め物が
3～4年ほど前に抜けて、放って
おいたのだが、流石に水が沁みる
様になったので、これはまずいと
決心した。

近所の歯医者さんだが綺麗で
完全予約制だとかで待っている
患者はいない。一番乗りかな。

先週予約してようやく月曜日の診察。
もっと先の日を言われたのだが、早い日
を頼んだら月曜日になった。一日目の診察
と治療は30分もかからなかった。
あっけなかった。次の予約を入れようとすると
来週だという。もっと早い日はないのか
と聞くと金曜日だという。もっと早くしてくれ
というと木曜日になった。

この程度の治療なら2～3日続けてくれば
十分ではないのか。何で10日に一回くらい
しか患者を診ないのだろう。そうする
ことのメリットがあるのだろうななどと
下衆の勘ぐり。

勘ぐりついでに。問診の後直ぐにレントゲン
撮影。これまた立派な、綺麗な機械だ。
今はどんな医院に行っても、必ず
レントゲンと血液検査を最初に受けさせ
られる。(歯医者では血液検査はなかったが。)
きっとそれが隠れた患部を見つける
ベストな方法なんだろう。
でも、立派な設備の使用頻度を上げないと
なかなか償却も大変だろうな、などとも
思ってしまう。

It may not be first time in the last
over twenty years but at least more
than 10 years for sure that I go to
see a dentist. I lost a stuffing
in my teeth which I had had for more
than ten years ago and I left it
untreated. Recently that teeth has
started aching when I drink water.
Then I finally decide.

The dentist's is in my area and
very cozy. The patients are supposed
to make booking in advance. I found
nobody waiting for their turn or I might
be the first customer for the day.

I called the clinic last week and managed
to get my turn on Monday. Actually I was
assigned a bit later but I asked for an
earlier date. It did not take more than
30 minutes for the consulting and the
treatment for the first day. Then I had
to make another appointment for next
consulting. They gave me a date in next
week. I asked for an earlier date and they
said this Friday. I asked again for further
earlier date and I got it on Thursday.

I thought the treatment would need only
a few days but they tried to give me
once a ten days for such a minor case.
I just wondered if they had a good enough
reason to do so?

In addition to that wonder, I wondered
why I should get X-ray photographing and
blood test at any clinic. There was no bood
test at the dentist by the way. Maybe it is
the best and the newest trend in clinical
consulting. And they all have new and neat
machines for such testing.
I have to agree that they need to make use
of them for the depreciation purpose, too.
