冬の準備というよりは
虫達にとってはいよいよ最後の
時を迎える季節だ。夏の間元気に
跳ね回ったり、飛び回っていたり
した虫達がほとんど動けずに
弱々しくしていたり、なきがらに
なって横たわっている。

葡萄畑では、収穫の最中まで
強い糸を張っていた女郎蜘蛛
が動かない。
乗用モアーのハンドルに
卵を産んだ蟷螂。
蕎麦を干しているそばでは
片方の後足をなくしたバッタが
身体を暖めている。
最近まで忙しくしていたコオロギも、
次の世代の準備を終えて、その
命を閉じてゆく。
無常の世の中にあって、繰り返される
自然の摂理。

そしてライフ　ゴーズ　オン。
畑では、収穫に播種に苗植え。剪定に
肥料やりと命を紡ぐための
営みは続く。

Insects are rather getting to the
last minute of their lives than preparing
for winter. They used to hop or fly around
strongly in summer but now most of them
cannot move freely or lie their bodies
on the ground.

In the vienyards, the spiders which used
to make strong strings from row to row
are moveless on their own web. A manits
layed eggs on the mower handle. A grasshopper
without on long leg warms its body
by drying buckwheat. Crikets used to look
busy now leave their bodies on the ground
after finishing the preparation of next
generation. In such an uncertain world, the
nature repeats its Providence.

And life goes on.
People continue to work for life
by harvesting, seeding, planting,
pruning, spreading fertilizers,
and so on.
