投稿の詳細: 渋　Shibu Hot Spring

ここら辺では単に渋と呼ぶのだが、
お猿の温泉（Time紙の表紙を飾った、
雪の中温泉につかる野猿）として有名な
渋温泉に行く機会が最近あった。

須坂から車で40分程。昔ながらの
温泉街で、秋の週末ということで
石畳に下駄の音と浴衣姿が賑わいを
見せていた。

九つの外湯があって、早朝6時から
入浴でき、静かに朝風呂をなどと
優雅に思っていたのだが、
6時を少しまわるとどのお湯にも大勢の
人が出ていた。それもまた風情か。

狭い路地に向かいあって温泉旅館
が建て込み、中には映画のモデルに
なった様な有名な旅館もある。
なぜか懐かしい感じの漂う温泉街だ。

in hot spring in snow fall.
I happened to have chance to stay there
for a night recently.

It took only 40 minutes by car from
Suzaka. The old hot spring town was
animated with the sound of wood sandles
on the stone paved streets by many
Yukata wearing visitors.

There are nine public baths in a narrow
area and they are open at 6 am. I thought
I would be able to enjoy bathing quietly
early in the morning but there were already
many people a little after 6am. Tant pis!
But it is also one of the scenes in the weekend
which supports the atmosphere of the hot spring.

On both sides of the narrow main street, there
are many hot spring inns built roof to roof.
Some of them are famous for its style and
as the model of the building used in movies.
It has the air of good old Japanese style hot
spring resort.
