昨夜農協のぶどう部会から
の電話で今朝7時より緊急会議
をするので集まって欲しいとのことで
あった。私は地区の連絡係り（班長という）
をしているので、皆さんに夕べから
早朝に掛けてあわただしく連絡をした。

出荷調整の話。何でもぶどう部会発足後
40年間で初めての現象が起こっているという。
それは、市場や中卸で荷（巨峰）が全く
動かなくなってしまったという。
どうも野菜の高騰などのせいで巨峰が
売れなくなり、流通段階で滞留して
しまっているらしい。店頭では軸が
干上がって粒もしぼんだ商品が
並び、出荷待ちの荷の品質が低下している。
これらがはけないと次の荷受ができない
状況になっているらしいのだ。

夏場の悪天候のせいで出荷量は例年を
30％ほど下回っているにも関わらずだ。
通常、お彼岸や連休前だと需要が強まる
のだが、一部を除いて需要が極端に
細り、昨日までは200％出荷などと
威勢のいい連絡事項が書かれていた
黒板が50％出荷に書き換えられた。
長野県全体で出荷調整に乗り出したのだ。

企業の景況感は回復しているらしいが、
生活者の実感はかなり厳しくなっている。
そのうえまずそうな葡萄では手がでないのも
無理はないか。困ったことだ。
本当に困ったことなのだ。連休明けの
市場がどう動くか。生産者は戦々恐々？

…という浮世の憂いとは関係なく
今日もまた穏やかな秋の一日であった。

I got a call from JA Grape Section
announcing an emergent meeting at
7am this morning. I was supposed
to transfer the message to a group
grapegrowers and was busy communicating
with them last night and early this morning.

Shipping control is levied. It is said to
be the first time since the establishment
of Grape Section for forty years. The shipping
control was required in order to reduce the
distribution stock at the market and the
wholesellers. The demand for Kyoho grape
seems stop for a while, they say. It may be
because of the price hike of vegetables and
the demands for kyoho grapes seem to be lost.
At the shops, bad shaped kyoho grapes with
dried stems and shrivelling berries stay for
a while which push back the newer stocks to take
over the shelves. As such stocks are piling
up, new shipments need to be controlled.

Even though the shipping volume so far
has been reduced by 30% than norml year
at the moment, such little demand has occurred.
Before the holiday week of September, the demand
for grapes used to be upward but this year the
situation has changed completely. The blackboard
at the local shipping center urged us to ship
kyoho grapes at 200% efforts just yesterday
but today it was re-written to reduce it to
50%. It is now whole prefectural control
ordered by JA.

The newspaper say an enterprises' economic
index turned to be better but the feeling
of economy among the normal people is getting
worse. Then how one can buy a non-essential
fruit which does not look tasty at all?
That's too bad. It is really too bad for us
the growers. Everybody is very anxious about
the market opening after the holiday week.

Despite of such social anxiety, it was another
fine autumn day today.
