今日は雨。といっても
小雨だったので
草刈りくらいはできた。
草刈りといっても、乗用モーアー
というカートの様なのに
乗って畑の中を走り回る
というものだが。

連休前半に随分寒い朝が
続いた割には葡萄には霜の
被害がないと見えたが、
今年植えた苗木で、
出芽が早かった生食用の
葡萄の芽がやられているのが
何本かあった。切り詰めているので
地面から20センチほどに
出ていた目が茶色く変色
している。幸い全部やられて
いるわけではないので
丈夫な芽は伸びるだろう。

今畑では葡萄の芽がどんどん
伸びてきて、うっすらと緑色
に色づいてきている。
美味しい葡萄を頼むよ！

It was rainy again today.
But it was just drizzling in
the morning, I went out
to mow weeds. I I was riding
on a cart like mower in the
vineyards.

In the vineyards, I found some
young vines received frost damage.
We had some cold morning around
7-10 days ago but I thought I did
not have frost damage in my vineyards.
However, the newly planted young vines
for table grapes which had earlier
bud burst than winegrapes received
late frost damage. As these vines
were cut short and planted on the ground
with buds at 20cm above the surface so
some of the burst buds got the damage
and changed color to brown.
As not all the buds were damaged, I expect
the reamining buds should be all right.

Now the buds are growing every day and the
vineyards is changing color to light green.
I hope they will make good grapes!
