カメムシじゃありません。
足が8本もある動物です！
緩歩門動物（カンポモン）という
その名の通り、とてもゆっくり
動く動物で、歩く姿が
熊に似ているのでその名が
ついたらしい。

で、峰の原の中学生湊君が
その研究で『つくば生物研究コンテスト』
で金賞を受賞し、本人による
その記念講演会が今日あった。
その研究振りに聴衆一同
感心しきり。

高温、超低温、超高圧、乾燥、
放射線等に耐えられ
宇宙空間に10日間おかれても
生存していたという、まるで
エイリアン。

そういえば、フィロキセラも
土の中で過酷な状態に耐え
条件が整った時だけ活動を
初めて葡萄の根っこに危害を
及ぼす。クマムシが悪さをする
動物でないことを祈ります。

Do not take it Kamemushi,
it is Kumamushi! It is an
animal with 8 legs. Its academic
name is Tardigrada which means
animals walk slowly. Water bears
follow the way it walks like
bears.

Hiroki Minato, a junior high school student
in Minenohara received the Gold Prize for
his study on Water bears and there was his
presentation today.　The audiences were
very much surprised at and moved by his
study and research.

Water bears can stand high temperature,
ultra low temperature, ultra high
pressure, dryness and radioactive radiation.
There was a record that it survived in
the sapce for 10 days. It sounds like
the Arian.

It reminds me of the phylloxella which can
stand very harsh environment and start moving
once the condition gets better for it which
damage the root system of vines. I hope
that Water bears will not do harm to us!
