久しぶりに須坂温泉に行った。
市内に昔からある温泉旅館で、
まだ小学校に上がるか上がらないか
位の時にも来た覚えがある。

その頃は右手の山に小さな手作りの
スキー場があって、よく寒い思いを
しながら竹スキーなどで
遊んだものだ。夏は鬼虫取りと。

人気の少ない冬場の昼間は
穴場的な温泉となる。冬空で
雪など舞っているといい雰囲気。

春は隠れた桜の名所。
南側の山に隠れて気温の
上がり方がゆるいので、
臥竜公園の桜が終わった
後でも十分に楽しめる。

I went to Suzaka Onsen for hot
spring first time after a long absence.
It's been here for long long time.
I remember I came here even before
I had started to go elementary school.

At around that time, there was a
hand made ski slope on the right side
in the mountain and I used to come
to slide bamboo ski, etc. in freezing
cold for just a small kid. I often
came in to catch beetles in summer.

In winter during quiet afternoon, this
spa become a very nice bathing hot spring
with very few people around.　Under winter
cloudy sky with snowflakes falling, such
winter atmoshper is very good for open
air bating.

In spring time, it becomes a secret
cherry blossom paradise. As the area is
at the hoot of the mountain just in
south and it is in the shadow of
the mountain. Therefore the temperature goes
up slowly in spring and the cherry blossoms
will be in full bloom when the other famous
places already finishes its flowering.
