投稿の詳細: 初詣　First visit of the New Year to the temple.

三が日の善光寺への人ではすごかった
らしい。3日に親戚を送ってそばまで
いったが、県庁の脇を通ってゆく
道路は遠方からかなり渋滞していた。

今日夕刻長野市内から徒歩で
初詣。6時を過ぎていたので
参道の土産屋も本堂も内陣（？）
はしまっていたが、本堂の内部
の賽銭箱の前までは入る
ことができた。賽銭を入れ
お祈りというか願い事を
する。

午後7時から今晩おびんづるまわしが
あるということだが、まだ境内は閑散と
している。おびんずるさんの周りで
数人がカメラを提げて
世間話をしているだけだ。

なんでも、おびんんずるさんは
ご開帳にあわせて、この後
百何十年ぶりかの修復に
出されるらしい。確かに
人々に触られ、なでられて
顔や手はつるつるになってしまって
いる。今夜のおびんずるさんは
包帯巻きで、白装束を着ている
ようであった。

There seemed countless people
visiting Zenkoji temple for the
first three days of the New Year.
I came close by to send off relatives
there on Jannuary 3, I found long queu
on the way to the temple from quite a
distance.

I visited to pray for the first time
of the New Year this evening. After
6pm, most of the shops in the front
streests were closed and the main area
inside the main temple was also
closed. Howevere I visited in front
of the charity box inside the main
temple and was able to pray after
giving some charity money.

There was a sigh saying that special event
was to be held starting at 7pm
but there was very few people around.
The special event was that the
'obinzuru' statute that was considered
to take away the people's pain when
patted on its body was going to
be taken on the monks shoulders
to the temple yard around the people
for the mercy.

I heard that the 'obinzuru'
statue would be sent off for
the repair for the first time
in last hundred over years to
be in time for the special
temple event whereby the main
statue of the temple would be
open for publice viewing
every seven years. The statue
lost most of its face and
the body was very smooth as
millions of people
patted on it for recovery of
the pains. The 'obinzuru' sama
lookes as if it had worn
white clothings as it wore
white bandage all over its
body for tonight's event.
