知り合いからお知らせをもらって
いたので、6時過ぎにメセナへ。
駐車場が一杯にまず驚いて、
中に入ってまたびっくり。
この間の山形由美さんの
演奏会よりも人が多い！

須坂を拠点とする
’本格派’というか’正統派’
ビッグバンドジャズ、
リバティー・ジャズ・オーケストラ
の演奏会。今回で15年目14回目の演奏会
だという。この人数で、そんなに長く
しかもこのレベルでやっている
なんてすごいです。

18人もいて練習どうしてるんだろう
と余計な心配。此方は農家5人でも
まとまらずに、皆好き勝手なことを
口をつくままに言い放っていると
いうのに。感心ただ感心。

演奏は本格的で、とっても楽しめました。
いやみがなくとっても一生懸命・真剣です。
メンバーの関係者が多いとは見えるが
ステージと観客の雰囲気も和やかで
楽しそうです。小さい子がいても
気にならないし。できたら飲物片手で
外で聞きたいって感じでした。
打ち上げのビールはうまいん
だろうな～。

I arrived at the Mesena Hall before 6:30
for the Jazz Live performance. My frineds
had given me the information. To my surprise,
the parking lot next to the hall was full and
what's more, there were a lot more audiences
in the hall than the concerte by Yumi Yamagaa,
a famous flute player.

It was a jazz live by real big band jazz
group Liberty Jazz Orchestra organized in
Suzaka with more than 16 years history. It
was its 14th annual performance. It was
a miracle to me that the activities have
lasted so long with so many members.

I wonder how and where they can get together
for the training with 18 members. To me, it is
very difficult to grow veges with only 5 members
who tend to speak whatever coming to their lips.
It is so amazing.

The performance was quite good and we enjoyed it
very much. The players were serious
and very enthusiastic but not snobbish at all.
There must have come many friends
of the members. The atmosphere was friendly
between on the stage and the audiences. There
were so many young kids, but it was OK.
I wish I could hear the music outside
the building with drink in my hand.

I bet the beer after the performance should be
very very goooooood!
