Where lies the future of
Suzaka Cidre 'Apple Master'?

須坂のリンゴで造ってきたシードル、
「りんご名人」。
手元の在庫がなくなったので暫時
販売休止です。市内の浦野酒舗さん、
角田酒店さんには少量残って
いるようです。

次回は来年2月か3月くらいに
少量作る予定です（多分）。
もちろん委託醸造ですが。
2004年産りんごで初めて作って
「シードル蔵ぶ」で頒布すると
同時に市内の酒屋さんで
販売してもらいました。
当時はシードルが余り知られて
おらず、長野朝日放送や
信濃毎日新聞等のメディア
でとりあげられて
県内外からの問い合わせが
沢山きました。

それが口火になったのかどうか、
今では長野県内各地で作られ、
普通にシードルを見かけるように
なりました。

ただ、当初期待していたように
酒屋さん達に引き継ぐ事は
できず、細々と個人で委託醸造して
一部酒屋さんと通販で販売してきまし
たが、年々販売数量は減って
きました。

個人的には本業のワインの製造本数が
増えてきたことでもあり、5年目を迎えて
そろそろシードルは卒業
かなと思い始めています。

或いは来年発売5周年を記念して
パッと盛り上げて、定着を図るか？

I have no more stock of Cidre
’Apple Master' that
was made of Suzaka Fuji apple.
It seems that a few bottle shops
is still selling from their own
stock.

Next Cidre making is expected in
February or March by nearby winery.

The first Suzaka Cidre was made of
the apple of 2004. It was sold withing
the 'Cidre Club' and also handled by
many bottle shops in Suzaka. At that
time, Cidre was not popular and not
understood well. But thanks to the
introducing the sparkling wine by
media such as Nagano Asahi Broadcasting, Shinano-
mainichi Shinbun, etc., it became popular
once and many inquiries came from inside
and outside Nagano Pref.

Since then, Cidre became popular
and has come to be found eleswhere
today and the wine is well known
in Nagano.

However, as for Suzaka Cidre,
the Cidre project was not succeeded
to the bottle shop owners and I personally
have ordered at nearby winery. The sales
gradually declined.

For me, as I have many more wines to
be released and that I need to concentrate
in real wine making, I cannot spare limited
resources to Cidre as before. Therefore
I am thinking to finish making Cidre after
next year.

Or shall we celebrate 5th anniversary
of the SUZAKA CIDRE 'APPLE MASTER'?
