昨日親子房について
触れて、「子」の粒は
種無しで　英語では
shot berry と呼ばれると
書いたが、間違いでした。

親子房は英語では
Hen and Chicken
と呼ばれていて、「親」は
Hen で「子」はChiken
です。この「子」は、小さい
粒のままで種無し、でも熟します。

受粉とその後数回の細胞分裂
までは正常に起こっても、
何らかの理由（低温とか？）
で、胚の発達が阻害されて
種なしになるらしいのです。

それではshot berry
は何かというと、
いわゆる「青っ玉」のことです。
これは子房が大きくなったもので
熟しません。

明日写真撮影に挑戦。

I mentioned about OYAKO bunch
yesterday and the small berry was
called shot berry. But it was not
correct.

OYAKO bunch is called in English
Hen and Chiken. Chiken is the
samll berry which is seedless but
will ripe.

The pollination and fertilization occurs
normally but embryo aborts after several
divisions and seed development does not
occur somehow.

On the other hand shot berry is just
enlarged ovary. In Japanese it is called
blue kid.
