今日は朝から今年定植した
メルローとカベルネ・フランの
畑の支柱建て。隅柱はいわゆるヨンパーの
どぶ付けの丸形支柱で、中柱は独特の形状
の日本版スマートポストといったところ。
去年から特注品の背の高いものを使っている。
それまでの中柱も延長できるように、延長
資材を買ってあるので、少しずつ更新
してゆくつもり。スマートダイソン仕立て
をしていて、上向きの枝がもう少し長い方が
良いのではないかと思っていて、それで
特注したものだ。

ブレーカーという、道路工事でアスファルトを
壊すのに使うアタッチメントをつけた
バックホーで穴を開け、開いた穴に柱を
差し込んでゆく。今日は60弱ほどの穴を
掘るだけだったので、その作業は午前中で
すんだ。そのあと、柱と穴の隙間に石やら
土やらを入れて柱を固定する作業。
お昼過ぎの日差しは強くややバテ気味。

I installed end and mid posts in the new
vineyard of Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
End post is zinc coated round shape while
mid post is peculiar shaped so called Smart-
post Japanese version. I use longer mid posts
which is a special order.　As I have been using
Smart-Dyson like canopy division
for new shoots, I was wondering about
the length of upper shoots so I decided to extend
the mid posts in order to obtain longer shoot
length.

I used a breaker attached to a excavator instead
of bucket. This machine is used at road work to remove
surface asphalt. I made a hole with the machine and
insert end and mid posts in the hole. Total number is
less than 60 so I finished at around noon time.
In the afternoon, I fixed these post by putting stones
in between the posts and the holes. As it was so hot
after lunch, I felt a bit tired.
