ミニバックホーを借りてきて
苗植えの穴を150ほど掘る。
ミニだとやはり時間がかかる。
次回から普通のバックホーにしよう。

穴を掘っていると見慣れぬ白と黒の
ぶちの小鳥が1羽2羽餌を探しに
近寄ってくる。

巨峰の芽も大分出てきた。
今年は強い枝に剪定時
芽キズを入れておいたので
芽の出方が均一に思える。

明朝3度まで気温が下がるとの予報。
霜が心配だ。特に今花が咲いている
サクランボには危ない気温だ。
地表面の気温の低下を防ぐ為
友人は早朝畑で火を炊くといっていた。

今年は寒さが戻ってくるようで
これからは葡萄にとっても
気が気ではない。

I rented a mini back hoe (bucket
excavator) and dug around 150 holes for
vine planting the after tomorrow.
As it was a mini, it took more time
than expected. I will rent a bigger one
next time.

I found one or two bird in black and white
color which I have not seen around here. They
tried to find pray from the ground.

Kyoho buds are getting bigger and some are
bursting. This winter, I made many cuts above
buds for even bursting. It seems that there are
many buds going to burst evenly on the long
cane. So it was successful so far.

The weather forecast says the temperature
will go down to 3 degree C tomorrow morning.
It is dangerously low for the flowering fruit
like cherry. One of my friends who is growing
cherries says he will make fire in the farm
to protect from frost or low tempearture damage
to the flowers.

We seem to have cold front this year until late
in the Spring and we are worring about frost
damage to our grapes, too.
