投稿の詳細: 東京出張？　Business trip to Tokyo ?

昨日（27日）午後1時須坂発
にて、「マスコミ懇親会」出席
のため上京。私は、須坂の農業と
グリーンツーリズムの売り込みです。
で、ブログは2日ほどお休みでした。

参加者は観光関係者等15名で、
マスコミからは放送・出版関係を
中心に約25名。いずれも須坂に
何度か足を運んでくれている
方々で、須坂の情報発信に関し
外からの率直な声を聞くことができる
貴重な機会でした。

驚いたことに「須坂のりんご」
や「須坂のぶどう」について、日本一は
おろかかなりすごい産地なんだ、という
印象を持っている人は1人もおりませんでした！
一方地元でJA関係者と話すと「須高のりんごや
葡萄は日本一というほど有名だ」と胸を張ります。
この違いは何なんでしょう！
買ってくれる人達に知られていなけりゃね～。

ましてや「え、ワイン?、ワイン葡萄？」という
ほど、誰も知りません。最も須坂はワイン葡萄に
ついては全く宣伝してませんもんね。
せっかくの「日本一」だというのに勿体ない。
日本での葡萄栽培最適地なんですけどね～。

農業について今回の参加者の方々が知らないのは
まあ、しょうがない面はありますね。おそらく
そういう見方をする機会の少ない
立場の方々でしょうからね。でも農業者としての
私の興味はそっち方面なんでした。

「滝など自然豊かな、ハッチのいる田舎」
という印象はあっても、冬の根子岳に登れること
はもちろん峰の原を知っている人もいなさそうでしたね。
冬の山歩きのメッカになる可能性があるのに残念！

多くの有名・未有名観光地が声を張り上げて
その売りをプッシュしているのですから、取り上げて
もらえるにはよほどの工夫が必要そうです。
こういう懇親会もその手段の一つの様です。

参加者の多くの方から、特にベテランの方々から
「須坂には沢山いいものがあるのだから、それを
もっとうまく活用すべきだ」という声が多かった
様に思いました。「ハッチには長生きしてもらわないと」
という声も。

私は28日午後のアポのため
居残りですが、他の方々はバスで
とんぼ返りです。皆様ご苦労さまでした。

28日午前久しぶりに千鳥が淵の
桜を見に行きました。7年ぶりのことです
その時とくらべると桜の樹が随分
大きくなったような気がします。
平日午前中なのにすごい人手です。

近くでインディアン・ダンスをしている
一団が。チャリティー・フェスティヴァルだとか。
そういえばこの近辺にインド大使館があったなー。

その後六本木ヒルズの森アーツセンター
で開催中のムートン・ロスチルトの
アーティスト達によるワイン・ラベル展を見て、
さらに展望台から春の東京を見渡します。

そこかしこに咲いている桜の花が
霞（黄砂？）の中に覗いています。

さて、明日からまた剪定と畑仕事です！

I left Suzaka 27th afternoon to
join the friendship meeting with broadcasting
and press people in Tokyo. I introduced Green Tourism
activities and tour in Suzaka. I stayed there another day
for an appointment on 28th afternoon.

The participants know and have visited Suzaka a few times or more so they are rather familiar with things in Suzaka. However, to my surprise, they don't know much about agricultural aspects of Suzaka. For example, we believe that we are well known in apples and grapes but they don't know much about it. Meanwhile, JA related people here are very proud that our apples and grapes are number one in Japan and it is well known fact. What makes this difference ?

As such, they have never heard of winegrapes or the fact that the Suzaka grown grapes cotributed the Gold Medals in white wine category three times in a row at Japan Wine Competition. It is a pity that the land here is actually number one in Japan for grape growing!

I should not blame them because they are not in the business with agricultural things and they may have to pay more attention in other aspects.

They have no idea about the winter mounteering at Mt. Neko or much about Minenohara. Mt. Neko can be advertised as the Mecca of winter mounteering in Japan. We need to consolidate the rural resouces of Suzaka to appeal.

As many other big names and small names are competing to be caught by mass media, we have to put more thoughts and efforts to make ouselves known if we wanted to make here a sightseeing spot. Such kind of the meeting can be one of the means.

Many of the participants stressed that Suzaka should make much better use of its asstes which even local residents would not care so much. At the same time, somebody said that we should hope for the longevity of Hatch, a famous kangaroo at Suzaka Zoo.

After the meeting, I remained in Tokyo for an appointment on 28th and the other people returned to Suzaka then. Thank you very much for your participation. Safe drive back to Suzaka!

The following day, I visited Chidorigafuchi for sakura appreciation for the first time in seven years. The flowers are beatiful and there are so many people to watch Sakura. There was a female group of Indian dancing which reminded me that there is Indian Embassy around.

Then I went to Roppongi Hills Mori Arts Center for the Mouton-Rothschild wine label exhibition. The collection of the arts by many famous artists for that wine!

Over there you can enjoy the Tokyo scenery from 52nd story of the Mori Tower!

Now I have to finish pruning and concentrate more on works in vineyards!
