今日は暖かかった。
長野でも15度くらいになったようで、
全国各地で20度を越えたところも
多かったようです。

剪定が急ピッチです。ほんの先週まで
寒い日が続いていてのんびりやっていたので、
急に暖かくなるとせわしないほどです。
また、剪定では切った枝の切り口が
湿ってきて、水が登り始めているようです。
切り口から水滴が滴り落ちる「涙」がみえるのも
もう直ぐです。

畑もにわかににぎやかで、ビニールハウスが
暖かい太陽にまぶしく反射しています。

とはいえまだまだ芽吹きは先の話ですので、
畑の中の道をドライブしても、交差点の
見通しは抜群です。葉っぱがでてくると
とたんに見通しが悪くなるのです。

今年開墾する畑の測量をやりました。
といっても50メートルの巻尺で
大体の寸法を取るだけですが。今年は
200本ほどを植え替える予定です。

It was warm today. It was around
15 degree C in Nagano and it went up
over 20 degree C in many places throughout
Japan (Kanto to Kyushu).

Higher temperature hastens pruning. Until just
last week, it was cold and I did pruning very slowly.
I found the cut of the canes got wet and it seems
that the "tears" will be seen soon.

Many farmers are working in the orchards and vineyards
and the air become very much animated with noises from
agaricultural machines and fans from greenhouses which are shining under the Spring sun.

However, the bud burst is still in some distance and
the traffic can be easily seen in the fileds through the
naked trees. Once leaves come out, the sight is
disturbed by the green leaves and you cannot
see the traffic at the intersections in rural area.

Today I measured a place where I would plant vines this
Spring. The size can accomodate around 200 vines. I will start
cutting down the trees and digging the roots in April.
