ある冬の日、ようやく訪れる事が出来ました。
鎧塚さんの一夜城ファーム。海が見渡せる高台にあります。
在りし日の川島なお美さんの碑に手を合わせて
きました。川島さんの碑文が刻まれていて、
花やワインが添えられていました。
碑文の最後には「今までありがとう　なお美より」
とあります。鎧塚さんへの言葉なのでしょう。
私も心の中で「ありがとうございました」
お元気な頃、何度も須坂へ足を運んで頂きました。
もっと美味しいワインを飲んで頂けたら良かった
と思いました。これからもっと頑張ります。

On a hazy winter day, I had all the way visited the Yoroizuka
Overnight Castle Farm in Odawara. The farm and the restaurant
is on the hill overlooking the ocean. I prayed for the late actress
Naomi Kawashima in front on her monument. She was the wife
of Mr. Toshihiko Yoroizuka, the famous patissier.

Her own writing was engraved on the big stone with ending
message ‘Thank you so much till now. Naomi’ which must have been
for her husband.

I prayed and said ‘Thank you very much for everything.’ in my mind. She
and Mr. Yoroizuka visited Suzaka and my winery many times when she was
still fine. I thought to myself that I should have made much
better wines. I will try harder and more.
