弊社のピノ・ノワール2014が最高得点を頂きました。

今月6月5日発売のWinart(ワイナート）での企画
「日本のピノ・ノワールは美味しいのか」の中で、
大橋健一氏とジャスパー・モリス氏という二人の
マスター・オブ・ワインによるブラインド・テイスティング
で、全国から集められた40本のピノ・ノワール中で、
北海道のドメーヌ・タカヒコのピノ・ノワールと並んで
弊社の「ピノ・ノワール2014」が最高得点でした。

トップ10に入った11本の内、長野県産が3本、
北海道産が7本、山形県産が1本という結果でした。

大変うれしい結果です。
しかしながら、まだまだ日本のピノ・ノワールは発展途上で、
私も自社のピノ・ノワールが美味しいとは決して思っては
いませんし、ブルゴーニュのワインとは比べるべくも
ありません。

弊社のピノ・ノワールに限っていえば、2008年、2012年
は良かったですがその後は天候の影響が大きく、品質も安定していません。
ただ、2005年から育ててきて毎年栽培・醸造に工夫を加えており。
今後もより高品質なワインを作るように努力をして行こうと
思っています。

Our Pinot Noir 2014 got the highest point.
The latest edition of the Winart, one of the most prestigious
wine magazines in Japan, featured the Japanese Pinot Noir
and two Master of Wines, Mr. Jasper Morris and Kenichi Ohashi
blind tasted and scored the 40 bottles of Pinot Noir
collected from throughout Japan.

The result, our wine got the highest point together with another
one from Hokkaido by Domaine Takahiko. Top 10 wines includes
3 from Nagano, 1 from Yamagata and 7 from Hokkaido.

We are simply very happy with the result as a fact.
However, we share the idea that Japanese Pinot Noir is
on its way of development. And we don’t think our
Pinot Noir tastes very good and is still no comparison
with the wines from Burgundy, France.

As for our Pinot Noir, 2008 and 2012 were good but we cannot
produce the wines of same quality as yet mainly due to the
difficult weather condition. Meanwhile, we have grown Pinot Noir
since 2005 and have put enormous efforts to grow better grapes and
to make better wines every year. We will continue to try more
in the vineyards and in the winery to produce better quality wines.
