暖かい日が何日か続いたせいか
須坂の桜がいっせいに満開になり
街のそこかしこをポッと明るくしている。
テレビ局の中継も市内各所で行われている。
須坂温泉の桜も、山の北側にあっていつもは
臥竜公園の桜より遅く咲くのに、
今年は同時に今が満開。
かんだ山の遊歩道沿いの桜は、数年前まで
緑の山腹の中に桜があったっけか
という程度のものだったのが、今は
目を引くほどに咲き誇っている。
南側斜面できっと花芽も多いのだろうな。
そうそう大日方はじめ豊丘の桜も近年
とみに注目を集めている。
街が明るく陽気になったようだ。

Cherry blossoms in Suzaka burst into the full bloom
thanks to the recent warm weather and shine here and there
as if they were spot lights. Many TV stations are broadcasting
from every corner of the small town.
The sakura flowers around the Suzaka Onsen area which usually
in bloom after those in famous Garyu Koen Park are also in full bloom
this year. I was surprised at the Sakura blossoms by the walking path
at the Kanda Mountain which were still small and scattered a few years
ago are now big and eye catching when one turns the corner of the route
towards the mountain. They seem to have many more flower buds as they
on the south facing slope. Others sakura like at Obinata Kannondo in
Toyooka area have become known recently.
Thanks to these sakura blossoms, our small town has become brighter
these days.
